Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy Michael has always been one of my favorite singers ever. From he day Skip across the street from me gave me a copy of the Yellow and Black attack. This man is beyond talented. That being said, Ken, you did all Michael fans proud right there. You gave me the chills and i'n only listening through my laptop speakers. Just saw Stryper again tonight (for the 10th time). Sweet is ageless...and so is Tamplin. Apparently not doing drugs in the 80's and 90's means you can sing like a boss in your 50's. Great stuff!
Seriously! Who rocks like them their 50's?? None of the 80's bands do what Stryper is still doing? Have you heard Def Leppard? Van Halen? OUCH. Sorry, but Stryper still rocks out at full capacity. So impressed.

I've seen a lot of Stryper's covers in the net... This is, with no doubt the best version I've ever heard...congrats man..I was in Stryper's show here in Brazil last year and I must say that you did a wonderful job

You did a good job singing Soldiers Under God's Command. I had a great opportunity to meet Stryper in person back in 1983 or 1984 in a small club in Sacramento California. Michael Sweet and Robert Sweet invited me and my 2 friends to watch them go over their soundcheck of the song they were going to perform from their first album ( The Yellow & Black Attack ) for the concert that night. The whole ban were so cool and very welcoming and even offered us pizza and soda. Another cool thing was we even met Michael and Robert Sweet's mother or grandmother. Isaiah 53:5 JCR777

Michael s vocals were somethin else...Oz is an awsome guitarist....so is Michael!....This music was the first real Christian Rock I heard...and the Styper boys blew me away!...your very humble Ken. I stumbled upon this and "Woah!" That was cool. It really was. Brother Ken you and Michael Sweet are those Pioneers in my opinion from the 80's till present that by the Grace of Almighty God paved the way to the level and for millions all over the world to listen to a little less Contemporary sound of Christian music if you will. Mr. Tamplin, your vocal range is AMAZING, I'm 53 and yes a singer in the Hair Band Days, this Music was GREAT and I still listen to it today, I saw Stryper in a small club in Raleigh North Carolina called the Switch, along with a Band called Trixter, thanks so much for this video....GOD BLESS !!!!
It's a #JesusMetal kind of morning while I chill before getting ready for work here in the UK. I was looking on the RU-vids to see if you had done react videos Stryper or Petra. Would be nice to see you reacting to Greg or John(from Petra). Petra was the first rock band I started listening to in my early teens. Don't listen to them so much these days but they will always have a special place in my heart. #PetraMeansRock

Well on that last note I figured you were right up there!...Even if it wasnt in full voice it didnt sound like falsetto...And thats pretty impressive from a singers standpoint cause thats higher than what most women can sing!...He he he... Amazing job Ken!!! I was just thinking several weeks ago how awesome it would be if you did a how to sing like Michael sweet video. All I can say is God is good!!! He provided!!!! I have been studying hard using your technique. I have been on the master class section of your course for about a year. The more I use my voice the better it gets. I listen to Stryper all the time aspiring to sing like he does. One day I will get there in my own way. I have you as a coach. I have been doing your course for about 2 years now. Thanks for all the cool vids and the inspiration. Most of all thanks for being a light. People like you and Michael Sweet do a lot of good reaching people for his kingdom. keep up the good fight!!! .

I remember when this came out in the 80's. Michael sweet is a great singer but I never was in love with his vocal tone. Ken, you nailed it. This performance is amazing, incredible depth and "covering" as you call it! I'm using it as a reference from now on when I do my own vocal tracks to make sure the tone is strong.
Michael sweet has great vocal tone .from ballads like Together As One ,lonely .to harder songs like The Reign ,The Devil doesn't Live here ,God, more than a man , The Rock that makes Me Roll ,Cant Stop The Rock too

Incidentally, I'd love to hear a remastered version of Won't Be Long with a little higher quality modern production - that key change in the 3min 30sec range always puts a smile on my face!
Ken, it is so great to see you covering Micheal Sweet and Stryper. Stryper and Shout were my favorite Christian rock bands of the late 80's. Your voice still rocks man! The last time I saw you was when you were singing at the 2004 RNC convention. I fell out of my seat while watching TV with my wife. I said, "That's Ken Tamplin!" God bless you brother. Mr. Tamplin, I would like to go back in time when I was 20 years old... I would invest the time and money on your signing course with no hesitation. At this time I told my bandmates that vocal range was probably influenced by the way you "resonate" the sound. They laughed at me so loud!! Now with your demonstrations I can prove I was not that wrong! Thank you so much for this knowledge and keep up the good work!
Ken, as a Stryper fan from the beginning I really enjoyed how you chose to cover the vocal arrangement. You were able to use your own voice and yet keep the flow of Michael's tones throughout the song. 2 thumbs up!
