Ken, you are no Paul Rodgers. That’s not meant as an insult. You are fantastic in your own right. But, no one can sing like Paul. In my opinion he has the most distinctive voice, and is the greatest rock singer ever. Over 45 years of being a frontman, and he still sounds amazing. I want his blood tested. I have a suspicion that he may not be human.

Thank you for highlighting Paul Rodgers for me the greatest rock voice ever .I went to Free Spirit concert here in the UK. I first listened to Free back in the 70"s and he still has 90 percent of his original voice .I'm 65 now and Paul still rocks for me

Paul Rogers is absolutely one of my favorites of all time. Paul is a voice of rock but much more. He is a singer and great songwriter. He has a soulful voice. Even when he started with Free his voice might of been raw at times but it fitted the music perfectly. Free records is one of the few I would keep on a deserted island lol. The amazing thing is that the band Free, they started out as teenagers. I love all the works of Paul Rogers.

You know I gave up my first passion, equestrian riding, due to a head injury that got me a flight for life ride to the hospital in 2017 and then I started playing piano again (and painting) and then singing in 2019 (joined a rock music club band at work) picking up your course in early 2020. Glad to hear that music\singing is something I can do into old age - if I do it right - which I will thanks to your course. I love your explanation and examples! I love knowing that this is a hobby (passion) I can do for the rest of my life!

I always think about the person who wrote and sang the song and why they wrote it when I am singing a song. Paul is not only great voice and a great performer, he is a great guy too, down to Earth and a true man of the people. He and his wife do a lot for wildlife and animals and other charities too. One of the few rock stars that can truly be called a “rock hero”. That’s what makes him and his music cool! A plug for Ken too. He strikes me as the same type of down to Earth guy and that’s what makes him cool too! Wish that I had time to take his course, I’d do it! Well done!

Unreal!!!....I feel like this video was made especially for ME.LOL Ive commented in the past about Paul and his ability to bend notes to pitch, especially in the blues scale(b3s/ b7s and dim 7s) which has always been hard for me to do. "Feel Like Makin" has always been a "troubled" song for me as well. Now I know why.Thanks for takin the time, going into detail about the Larynx.When your singing, you can physically SEE what your talking about.Couldnt have been a more perfect illustration! We're not worthy!!!

My eldest daughter and I went to see Paul Rodgers and Jeff Beck a couple of years ago. She went for Beck, which of course I was excited about too. I told her on the way in that seeing Rodgers live would make her a convert. Two days later, she had her kids listening to Free and bought me their box set that Christmas, mainly so that she could borrow it. Haha! Rodgers has ALWAYS been my vocal hero! Great video, Mr. Tamplin! Been listening to you since the mid 90s, when I discovered your solo music and Shout. One of my favorites is your cover of "Sign, Sealed, Delivered."

Hey Ken! I'd like to start by saying this was a great video. Your explanations were very concise and easy to understand. Paul Rodgers is a phenomenal singer. He has that voice where when you hear it you just want to keep listening. Whether it be Bad Company, Free, or Queen, Paul was always at his best. These bands were definitely better because of Rodgers being in them. Probably one of my favorite performances is Bad Company Live at Wembley in April of 2010. A must see for any Paul Rodgers fan. Paul plays with original members Mick Ralphs and Simon Kirke, supplemented by Howard Leese on guitars and Lynn Sorensen on bass. They deliver a setlist featuring all the classics, fan favorites, and some rarely heard gems. This is a great dvd. The ultimate Bad Company concert!! Thanks Ken, and as always keep rocking!😎

Hughes on the deep purple burn lp blew my mind with his vocals on burn! Steve marriot he commanded a stage with his voice ! My teenage years was the 80's ! So the rock and roll of the 60's through 80's hooked me early on and other types of music also! Rock on ken!!!!

One of my favorite all time rock songs is All Right Now. One of the greasiest rhythm guitar tones ever captured on tape. (Aerosmith Sweet Emotion is another killer rhythm guitar tone!) And Paul’s vocals sound so soulful. This tune and Blinded By The Light by Manfred Mann (.....which has killer lead wah-wah stuff) are two of the greatest crunchy, soulful vocals ever recorded. A lot of guys have crunch. And some have soul. But very few have both like these guys did.

James Dewar a very soulful throaty voice and the perfect singer with legendary guitarist Robin Trower during the Bridge of Sighs era. RIP Jimmy. Trower later on had Davey Pattison an extremely soulful vocalist. The Trower song, Over You would be a great piece for you to check out.

I saw Paul with Queen in Aruba back in 2005. Amazing show. Paul was great even singing the Queen songs (not easy to sing Freddie Mercury's songs), and of course Brian and Roger were great as well.

What comes across straight away... Your passion and feel for the songs. Great voice 👌 Ritchie Blackmore's favourite singer is Paul Rodgers .. Also, David Coverdale has spoken many times about Paul. Very highly ranked among his peers 👏 Amazing performer!!👏

@Christina Black. Paul Rodgers and David Coverdale both come from the Teeside area of the U.K. So maybe for David then Paul Rodgers is a local hero. You have good taste when it comes to rock singers
