Hi.I need try practise this.I have recently started roller skating again first on quads then over to in-line skates.But I’m thinking am I too old now to do in-line due to not just my age but because I’m a window cleaner nearly 40 years now.don’t have same ,strenthgh now.will try practice your exercises.I did do bit yoga few years ago balance on one leg 😀

On quads I could do backward skating and started doing crossovers forwards and backwards .I can flip round now on inlines and curl round to stop like powerslide turn but not do one leg and t stop yet don’t feel have strength to do one leg yet .that’s why need practise your one leg technique

In my case I feel like I can't point the skate in a different direction (as if I am riding on rails) so if I lose balance to the outer side I have to fall. I got a 4 wheel skates, maybe the 3 wheel skates would be easier to adjust direction?

Great tutorials! i also got issues with drop in/rolling of a ramp in fakie. Any tips to overcome fear ?

Hey thank you! 🙂🙏 I'm very sorry for my late answer! 😶 My tip to overcome fear is: 1. Skating up the ramp to the top and roll back backwards. 2. Go to a stair and stand sideways onto it, next try to jump down (90 degrees) to fakie. 3. Step for step use higher objects or obstacles. 4. Try to do your first soul stall (a sideways stall) on a pipe or ramp and roll back backwards. 4. Try to jump in into fakie at the lowest ramp of you skatepark. 5. Improve your fakie drop in / jump in until you're comfortable on any ramp you want to.

I have no problem skating on one leg on ice skates, forwards and backwards, inside and outside edges. On inlines it’s very hard.

The more weight you get on the front wheels while simultaneously pushing the front to the outside the stronger your turn will be. Takes a lot of commitment and overcoming some fear. But doing over and over again will you let getting used to the feeling.

Why it is impossible for me to inline skate on single leg ? I know for sure i am not overweight or having big sized skates or i do not bend my knees etc. What the hell am i doing so wrong.
