Anyone else ever notice that someone gives me almost an immediate thumbs down within an hour or so of me putting out a new video??? It's no coincidence... Someone is so butthurt by my existence that they subscribe and follow with notifications just so they can give it a thumbs down.... I mean that is some serious dedication to the art of hate, and a proud display of pessimistic, failing DNA. Whoever you are, I hope you read the comments too! I am not upset.. I applaud your devotion and appreciate your view in bettering my algorithms! It's awesome to be so relevant that people follow you with the sole purpose of expressing their discontent... that's how you know you've really made it!
I still don't understand this, if people get so butthurt over this type of videos. Why in the hell do they take their sweet time to see them and leave a thumbs down.
some people go through their life being miserable. I never leave a thumbs down or negative comment... ever.. whoever made the video did so for a reason that they believe in. opinion is not fact, and opinion is no reason to hatefully disagree. But I also am have no F's given on who gets butt hurt over what I post.
Well either they havnt seen this comment or have no sense of irony because they are not even savvy enough to give this comment a thumbs down, tells you all you need to know really :D
@@skully_1791 we get it you're Mr. "tough guy survival" and you already know things before something popular makes it relevant. Youre so cool and edgy and different from everyone else
I will say i got rdr2 from the beginning and thought the comments we're funny but i came here cause im from the south n my old lady's a somewhat city girl n Jersey "she denies being a city girl" but I've been talking bout taking our 10 yr old hunting n training her n archery and was talking bout skinning animals is y I'm here js
I would have made my grandpas jaw drop when he was still alive if I showed him how to do it this way. The first time I ever killed a rabbit he was fussing about him being the one to teach me how to do it. Grandpa born in the forty’s and raised on a farm in the fifty’s are gonna be that way. He showed me how and I can use his method or this method. I find his method to be the natural instinct of someone skinning a rabbit Grab the skin by the foot and pull down from their on both feet. Pull the skin all the way down and pull out your pocket knife to cut the legs off ( we don’t carry machetes out here as a tool when we are skinning game)🙂 You gut it let the dog smell it and throw it in the back of the pickup after you put it in a bag. We obviously washed them off. Anyway I wish I could’ve watched this video begged to show him the first time and watch his reaction. He was a traditional man and never let the kids do the deciding, but I have a feeling he might’ve let me if we got a second rabbit. He would’ve said “ OH BY GOLLY where did you learn how to do that”😂 Anyway I am glad I found this video because if I ever get a mess of rabbits I can skin them the quick way ( your way) or if I am by myself and I get one I will take the time to remember him as I am slowly pulling the skin down from the feet and cutting the legs off. Oh what times I had
I found this very helpful on my hunting trip. My dad never told me how to do it so I watched this video and tried it and it all went to plan. *other people in comments* “tHaTs AnImAl AbUsE iT hAd A lIfE” it makes me question “why did they click the video?”
Having been a Surgical Physician Assistant for many years, I used to have a hard time skinning a Rabbit, until now. Your Video is Awesome, and I appreciate your time and the energy you put in to it. I sort of performed a Surgical procedure in the method I employed "which took a lot of time ", but I can now enjoy hunting more, since learning your method. Thank you and God bless you Sir.
There aren't half as many "snowflakes" in the world as there are in your imagination. I'm a meat eating liberal that grew up hunting. There's WAY more of us than you think...
@Australiantatious lmao the only dumbass here is you, there is no such thing as r/whooooosh so apparently you do not even know how to use it properly either 😂😂😂
The only time I ever see rabbits is when I'm out and about with my fiance, my gear is left home and I she gives me the "Kill that and you ain't having a good day" look. One day I'll use this technique, one day...
that's crazy how clean that is! i thought that skinning a rabbit (or any animal) would be super bloody and messy, but now that I think about it, i guess if you don't puncture any blood vessels, there wouldn't be any blood. awesome little technique which i am probably never gonna use cuz i am a city boy
This technique definitely comes in handy when a cutting implement isn’t available. I personally usually never have a good use for a rabbit hide. I tried using them for fur string silencers on my bow, but the hair just isn’t long enough. Neat for little projects here and there though. Thanks for posting Ryan. I’m excited for the videos to come.
Thank you for the video, it looks SUPER simple to just rip off the skin which I am sure is true for a lot of people but thanks for the demonstration since there are people who have no idea what to do
Love it.i have ate rabbit my whole life first time skinning was 3 and has to say i just love your vids man.i dont ever waste time talking to but dang kindred spirit and all.you make me want to make vids and show my secrets.the sticks are my life and i am very impressed.they say dint judge a book by its cover.and i saw you and said huh nerd guy but i was supersized man and i have a new hero.thanks man.
lol, don't say that.... someone's going get the idea to walk into a Pet Land's floor petting display cube, lean over and quickly… uh, you know..... just show the rabbits the video, before anyone can stop them!
@@user-wi7iy2me7y aside from that, i wonder if it'd be even possible from the way it would try to escape or something. or if the skin would soften up enough to be able to do it.
then you can skin it in another method, but wild cottontail skins (especially in the south) are extremely thin and weak overall so i don't do much with those
Very interesting though I feel it wastes a good skin as it looks like you pretty much teared it in half, but I suppose if you are in a survival situation and you are tired and hungry you might as well just rip it off and get straight to the meat as fast as possible.
I've always used this method to. Takes a bit longer than 6 seconds on a big buck rabbit off the moors though. But a nice young un like you've got there is dead easy.
I always pull down from the back legs, pull the skin down and step on the head and then pull up by the back legs, taking the rabbit carcass out of the skin and leaving the head and skin under my foot. Started doing it this way to avoid any need to touch the head/ears where ticks and such generally hang out.
I unfortunately do not. The catch and cook videos are kinda other peoples' territory and I typically try to go my own direction with things. Also, truth be told, I am not a very good cook. I am way too basic. My wife is the awesome cook of the family. As we say, I killem, she grills em..lol thanks for watching and following along though
@@huntprimitive9918 Hahaha... awesome. I told people either you're a cook or chef... Just like my wife & your wife there probably the *chefs* in the household & you and I are the *short-order cooks* 👍
Probably pointless question(great vid btw! Was always wondering if video games got it right) but is there no need to de-gut the hare? Or not necessary.
My brother after watching a clip from red dead redemption. “There’s no way a person could skin a rabbit that quickly.” Me, who’s actually researched how to skin a rabbit. “Just give me a couple seconds, I wanna show you something.”
Ryan i still like the videos you put up of hunting the old ways i learned this method long ago as a young boy glad to see it wasn't just our way but common knowledge at one time two thumbs up bud
