Thanks for the video. Most people who claim to be "allergic" to wool aren't allergic at all. You are right that it has to do with the harsh commercial processing but it has to do with the irritating broken ends of the wool due to chemicals. People aren't "allergic" but their skin is being irritated by those broken brittle ends.
Thank you for this! I grew up around sheep, but wool is undervalued atm unless it's from specific breeds. Would love to learn how to do this for myself.
Yes, wool is highly undervalued. Anyone can work with wool, just take a willingness to learn. I have 8 fleeces this year so far so I will be doing more fiber content. I just need to get over an injury first.
