Hello Im Lance (aka Bundy Bear) and doing these videos is my hobby. I do own Queensland Tractor Spares in Australia where I sell parts and offer technical advise to customers.
Parts seen in our videos can be purchased from www.queenslandtractorspares.co...
We have a lot more than we can offer on our web site available to us and in our store. If you dont see what you would like please email info@queenslandtractorspares.com.au and we will help where we can.
I do try and help with technical advise at bundybearsshed@gmail.com if you have a question or are having trouble with your project.

I split and reassembled my TO35 this last spring and it was such a good feeling when those splines finally aligned and the sections slid together. Turning the PTO shaft proved important.

A great short series of videos...enjoyed them all, and a great way to spend another period in isolation. Great tips that I'll remember next time and I especially enjoyed watching you fit the ring gear, and the clutch pedal setup and checks...all good stuff. I'd love to see a video on you do one on a double clutch and how you push it back together.....

Lance - the clutch test prior to fully assembling the tractor - excellent idea. This is the first time I have seen this test. Loctite 515 removal - have you tried Loctite SF 790 Chisel Paint Stripper (Gasket Remover) 510g to remove the gasket?
@BundyBearsShed

No I have not seen the SF790. I will ask my supplier about it.

When I did my TEA20 I had to do it outside. Due to the uneven surface I found the rear end twisted at an angle as it was going together. That took quite a bit of time to realign otherwise it would have been rather easy. Good ole Fregie.
@BundyBearsShed
@BundyBearsShed 2 года назад
yeah they can be a bit difficult now and then.

I have to do mine outside as well. Any tips as how you did it, and what I should look out for? I don't have the fancy trolley jacks that Lance does.
@tridbant
@tridbant 2 года назад
@@jeskasper I put a sheet of metal under the jack so as it wouldn’t dig in and that it rolled smoothly. Also put wedges in to stop the front axle twisting. The main thing is when you separate the half’s try and ensure they part in a straight line and stays that way. You’ll appreciate it when joining them. I did it mostly on my own so it is not rocket science.
@jeskasper
@jeskasper 2 года назад
@@tridbant wedges have been ready for a while. :) I only have a regular garage jack with wheels and a round lifting plate. I was thinking of making a length of 2x4 and put a hole in the middle for the jack plate, and then strap it to the gear box housing, just to make sure the tractor is supported and the jack doesn’t slip.
@tridbant

Hi Lance, yet another informative video, great job mate keep up the good work, and while I've got you, I'm just starting to rebuild my DB990 AD4/49 engine following tips from your vid's, everything was going well until I replaced the rear oil seal(new rope inserted as per your vid) the crank was free until then, now I have to put quite a bit of pressure on it (by hand) but when it turns, its good, should I strip it out again or is this OK?
@BundyBearsShed
@BundyBearsShed 2 года назад
If the rope seal was soaked on engine oil it should be fine and bed in. I worked on the DB tractors for 9 years way back and still have some of the tooling.
@manfromthemist1958
@manfromthemist1958 2 года назад
@@BundyBearsShed Thanks for the assurance, the rope seals were soaked for a week and put in the holders in the same way as shown in your vid, and then on assembly everything including the crank was given a good coat of EP90, which Iuse as it sticks around for longer. Many thanks Barry

Ive split my '54 ferguson tea20 apart to diagnose the reason as to why hydraulic fluid pours out of the weep hole on the front of the gearbox bell housing when the tractor warms up and comes to a stop. could you provide any information on that issue for me? thanks

Hi Lance. I know this video is a little old but I’m about to tackle a ring gear replacement on my ‘49 TEA20. When you are doing the clutch test could you just turn the engine over with the starting handle instead of a lever bar on the ring gear itself? Cheers from 🇬🇧
@BundyBearsShed

Yes you could for sure.

Good Job again Lance! Question for you the trick with engaging the gear to test the clutch with the flywheel does it also work with a TO35 or MH50 Assuming a to35 can be placed in 6th gear and follow the same procedure. I'm about to split one with a 6 speed tranny and I found that to be a really good trick.
@BundyBearsShed

Yes it works with any make I have found as long as it is not a powershift.
