Hey guys. Im new, im 22. Ive got proteinuria, im taking lisinopril, and ive got ckd stage 2, i beleive.Im really new to all of this, and its pretty worrying. I really appreciate all the help and support. Thanks!
I’m 58 years old. I find it odd that I’ve been in stage 5 for 2+ years and not on dialysis. GFR of 9-10 fluctuating and I feel fine and no symptoms - I don’t understand it🤷♀️
Hi James, I came across your RU-vid channel and I find it is very positive and helpful. That being said, can you please ask Dr. Rosansky to share some information about how to slow down Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis in future? Please keep up good work. Have a nice day.
Warmest aloha- doc’s book just arrived! My only caveats are : (1) keep drinking water if dehydration is an issue - and (2) Benadryl has been shown to cause cognitive decline in seniors. Within a few weeks, my creatinine level went from 1.7 to 2.01 and mr eFR from 37 to 25. No co- morbid issues (blood pressure 120/80 normal and not diabetic or even pre-diabetic) and no protein in my urine. Dr’s plan for me: drink lots of water, exercise, plant based lifestyle diet/heart healthy nutrition and only 2,000 mg of sodium a day. 🤷🏼♀️ yes- hopeful, overcoming fear but find a dirth of nutritional information on amounts of safe ingredients that could really help us jump start appropriate amounts of protein, healthy fats, sodium, potassium and photospherous etc - any printed materials out there! I emailed the Nat’l Kidney Foundation with this request and unfortunately never got a reply except a premature survey on rating their help! 🙀-any suggestions please are welcome for this 75 yr old Caucasian female CKD fellow traveler? Mahalo 🌺
Thanks for another great show! I would love to see some videos of the different kinds of chronic kidney disease. I myself have IgA Nephropathy, and it is so hard to find info about it. It would be great with some dietitian episodes as well on the different diets depending on types. Oh oh, and something about low protein diet & keto analogues! It would also be interesting with something about mental health as a chronic patient, and their family. I know it's taken a toll on both me and my family. Just a few ideas ;) Re-posted since you took away the old version of this video
@@ariannapetrow7461 Mine? I am GFR34, been vegan the whole time but changed it a bit around to fit my labs. It is definitely the way to go, especially with CKD, best of luck!
DDEAR DAD, FOR A VERY SICK MAN, YOUR SKIN IS BRIGHT AND PINK. YOUR EYES ARE SPARKLY AND CLEAR. YOU LOOK HEALTHY. NEITHER OVERWEIGHT NOR SKINNY. YOUR SPEECH IS CLEAR AND FRESH, VERY ONPOINT. ITS NICE TO SEE THAT YOUR EATING ROUTINE WORKS!
I am 76 and CKD 3b. I now have developed Venus insufficiency. Classic symptoms. Also osteopenia!! I do renal diet. I have nephrologist. What kind of doc do I need to see about Venus insufficiency?
Hi Team, i am a young 31 years old female suffering from CKD 4. The egfr is 23. I do not have any symptoms but 6 months back I started having urticaria and still suffering. Doctor said in 3-7 years I will definitely need a transplant.is that true?
When I ride the bus I double up on the masks. And I'm not alone on that either. A friend went to her oncologist for post-breast cancer check up. The doc looked at her a bit oddly but said nothing. Anybody who's been on cancer treatments does Not want to take any chances.
Dear Doctor, I am from Australia. My kidneys jhave been declining every 3mths for the last 12 monhs I am 82, my kidney doctor is not unduly worried, there is no protein in my blood tests. Do you have any suggestions, gfr is now 33 from 44 over the last 12 months. Thank you Ron
Great show Bless both of you.... Dr Roy just gave me more life!!!! Seems I have been having sleepless night and worries about my kidneys since for no reason
I’m Marie and new here, I’m i have multiple gall stones . I’m scared to go for surgery. However my sister is in Africa with kidney problems, they told her it’s on stage where she needs diocese. Please I need your help and she’s diabetic. She’s 60yrs old
Check out this video from last week with Dr. Qasim Butt about Kidney Biopsy: www.dadvicetv.com/dr-butt/kidney-biopsy-procedure%3A-what-is-a-kidney-biopsy%2C-what-is-learned-from-a-kidney-biopsy%2C-and-more - sounds like your doctor wants to figure out why you are leaking protein at such a high GFR, which would mean you have more time to manage the underlying cause. I personally would get the doctor recommended kidney biopsy - then I'd do what is needed to keep my kidneys on the healthy side.
is there any one stopped the progression? i am having creatinine 2.2 to 2.8. my age is 31..! can i avoid further complication with blood pressure control and dilates?
Hi Dr. I want to find out if I have lost one Kidney since December the 5t 2019 and my remaining kidney is on 45 kidney functioning and I am 53 will become 54 the 10th of December, 2019, after six months n it was reduced to 43 and the Dr. said the water was less and salt more but the Kidney look as it it rying Please guide me in this.
To clarify why I lost my kleft kidney was because I was deducted with cyst on the left hand site on the Kidney and in 2019 it develop cancer stage 1 on a small part and to prevent it to destroy the other area the Neorologist removed it. I went for test ever six months. I have blood pressure. Please guide me.
My urine went clear several months ago my GFR last year was 42...now it’s 32...I was on KETO for a year (lost 30 lbs ) and off now...gained back 10. I’m 70 yr old female...foamy urine in the a.m. Going back to more veggies and less meat and IF; one meal a day. What’s the best way to increase my GFR?
Hi. Any advice. Im diabetic, have hypertension, arthritis, remission for cancer and CKD stage 3. Its getting worse. How can I stop progression of ckd. Please advise.
Yes they can Viv. I was on double dose and my GFR went down 7 points. Doc reduced dose to 1 pill instead of 2, and GFR went back up. If not dosed correctly, you can get dehydrated. They are important to take if prescribed though. If you feel like the dose is too high, get tests and speak with your doc.
Up to stage 3 from diet and lifestyle changes - no dialysis or transplant! I just released a book about it, covering what I had to learn and focus on. Check out DadviceTV.com
Most likely no issue, but you need to know how much protein you are leaking. Leaking a little with your age isn't serious - but leaking a lot could indicate you need to keep an eye on things. But overall, a GFR of 60 at 83 is fantastic and certainly not something to worry over.
