Your round button hole stitch is perfect. Mine always cave in on each other.

I think the trick is to try to keep the thread pulled upward to hold the previous stitch in place.

I enjoy your channel and all the projects you do! However, I’ve got a question regarding what type/size needles do you use that accommodate the wool or six-strand floss that you seem to be able to pull through your fabric layers with such ease? I’ve been having a very hard time finding needles that have large enough eyes and at the same time sharp enough. I’d appreciate your feedback please. Thank you!

Thank you! I wish I knew but many of my supplies are old, inherited or thrifted. They could be tapestry needles but I couldn’t tell you the brand or size. If you search for sharp tapestry needles you should come up with something similar. They’d probably also have them at your local fabric store. Anything with a big eye and sharp point will do the trick.

Thank you. I stood at an Amish Dry Goods store yesterday and looked & looked to no avail. Other than that, JoAnn’s & Michael’s are the only stores available in my area and it’s hard to tell whether or not the needles are sharp enough. Size of eyes are a bit more easier to identify. I just thought you could have directed me to a specific brand and size.

@@kathrynborbacs3380sorry. I wish I had more info on the needles I have. These look similar www.amazon.ca/dp/B0CQ72B5F4/ref=sspa_mw_detail_0?ie=UTF8&psc=1&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9waG9uZV9kZXRhaWwyp13NParams

@@cookingjennfera tapestry needle with a sharp point for piercing fabrics is called a chenille needle. The size numbers are usually the same as the tapestry but instead of the blunt tip used for cross stitch (for example) the chenilles are sharp so they can pierce woven fabrics for embroidery.
