Whenever people tell me i smell good I take it as a compliment and don't think its weird to say that, but when I want to tell someone they smell good I feel like they'll think I'm weird lol
top smell advice: if you can smell yourself a little, others can smell you alot. your scent (perfume, cologne, other smell good products) are like a shy person. they don’t announce to everyone once they’ve entered the room, they have to be discovered!
See when I can smell myself other people cannot because I constantly can smell the gross parts yet the most blatantly honest people in my life always act like I’m crazy when I think I smell bad and these are the people who will tell you if you smell nasty
@@n0thum4n Same. I smell myself worse than everyone, when I ask my mom and my brutally honest sister, they say I overreact and even smell nice. I even went to the doctor to ask if I have an odour issue, but they say they can smell anything weird from me. So conclusion, some use a hypersensitive or have OCD.
Not really though. Peak summer time and my friend and I were complaining about our deodorants and how much we can smell ourselves. None of us could smell the other one though. Sometimes people just overreact but it is better to be safe than sorry
I was in a store once and the woman who helped me smelled gorgeous, so I told her so. She stood up taller, smiled the biggest smile, and proceeded to tell me that she was new to that perfume. Her daughter had told her off for using her expensive perfume for work and had bought the one she had on and hadn't been sure if it suited her. I assured her that it did. I walked away and looked back as she carried on with her job and she looked so dang happy and stood tall and proud. Sometimes people need a bit of a lift and if I smell something nice on someone now, I tell them. Personally, I used to be morbidly obese and have always been paranoid about smelling bad, so when someone hugs me and tells me I smell good, it makes me feel so nice.
Mine too😭 My eczema and dry skin hurts terribly whenever I use any fragranced soaps and body washes..(I still use fragranced soaps and body washes and my eczema and dry skin doesn't hurt as much) Edit: what the- how'd I get so many likes by just complaining about my eczema?
@@_.Rose_. I have to use non-fragranced, no colouring, sanex body wash, and can only use Treseme shampoo/conditioner other brands irritate my skin. I can only use non-bio washing powder to wash my clothes with and can’t put perfume on my skin, it has to always be on my clothes. It’s an absolute nightmare. 🤦🏼♀️
@@cara8121 I hope that you'll feel better soon. My eczema isn't as bad compared to when I was a baby. My mom told me that when I was born I had thick scales on my skin and you could barely see my eyes. Now my eczema barely troubles me. It only hurts a lot when I use fragranced body washes and lotions and it hurts especially in summer 💀
Heads up: many people are really sensitive to strong scents and practically taste your perfume or body spray in their mouths. Instead of compliments, people may be gagging 💖

Not smell like vanilla and smell bad are too different things. I think we all should strive to not smell bad as a courtesy to the people who have to be around us.
I'm hoping 90% of people are anxiously pretending that they care about these things in such an yes-of-course-that's-just-basic-self-care type of way because _come on..._
Please keep in mind people who are allergic to perfume and other fragrances. I work in retail and the number of costumers with extreme amounts on that make me feel dizzy and faint is extreme, not to mention the asthma attacks I also get. Not everyone needs to smell you from a mile away.

Then u need to have your own routine! This is for people who can have scents and are not allergic or sensitive! My friends mom can’t have any fragrance on her body or she’ll break out in hives!

I dunno..at that point you'd probably choke me with that cloud of 'scent'... good smells become bad if they're so strong they become an assault weapon. Remember kids, people are not supposed to be able to smell you outside of arms length. This means B.O., perfume, whatever.

She starts specifically talking about matching (scents) 'shower gel, lotion, shampoo and body spray' including a second pass of the shower gel after scrubbing, then she talks about using the lotion that hopefully matches those scents, then body oil to lock that in... THEN (misting lightly with) PERFUME, and only at that point 'goes ham with the body spray'... seriously that's a lot of scent building onto and over one another.

🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 say more !! I noticed when I tried to diy my shampoo, conditioner and leave in conditioner that I feel much better mind and body etc... but I smelled bad because the leave in conditioner had aloe vera in it 🤔🤔🤔 I still used normal deodorant
I’ve been getting ‘you smell good comments’ since elementary school. Im in high school now and let me share some more on budget tips. for your hair, use a coconut smell. It’s pleasant, not overwhelming, and admirable, all the hair products i use smell like coconuts (not intentionally) for your body use a light- no scent body wash while in the shower. I use baby wash bc I have sensitive skin as well as Aveeno, but scented soaps are not very good for your skin. Use the same scent lotion body scrub and spray as she said and you should be good to go! :)
Funny how this showed up right after I was recently complemented about how I smell good. I was hugging a friend and they mentioned how I smelled great, and asked why I always smell sweet like maple 🍁 The interesting thing is that I don't use scented soaps or any perfume. Turns out it's the organic oil I use on my skin (Tamanu oil). I guess after using it daily for years it has become "my smell" ❤

As someone with friends and coworkers that are practically allergic to strong scents, I'm not using perfume when in company of them or spraying perfume in the changing room. I rather be more empathetic then smelling like an makeup store....🥰
Oh god that's so much scent! No hate but I have a really acute sense of smell and when someone uses that much perfumed product I can smell them across the room and not in a good way. You've probably got a bit of nose blindness if you use the same scented products for a while and don't realise how strong they smell. Recently washed humans with no perfume at all smell great usually, and if they don't it's bc they have a dog/are coming down with a cold/live with someone who smokes weed/haven't cleaned their washing machine in a while and the rubber seal is mouldy, or something. But that's all the clothes, not you.
Ahhhhhhh! That's what it is!!!! Net sponge!!!! I'm so fuckin hyped rn, I got one of those years ago in a bath kit and haven't been able to find another one since, not even in the black beauty stores I go to. It's so good, and machine washable too. Didn't even know the name, I've just been calling it an "exfoliating cloth" and every one of **those** is a scratchy useless junk that leaves my skin raw yet somehow not very exfoliated. As someone who doesn't smoke and will never ever dateb a man that smokes,because I hate it. I actually like the smell of smoke it reminds me of home So just because he like it doesn't mean he was a red flag he probably associates with a good memory

I have the cheriosa body spray that she was using and I can already smell the chemicals. When you put too much, you can smell every last chemical they put in that thing 💀💀
It’s all in the clothes. My body wash leaves me smelling like nothing (which is good) and then deodorant is just a mild scent (cucumber) and the smell comes from the detergent/fabric softener I use and the perfume I put over it. Sometimes body lotion too but usually people aren’t getting close enough to smell my body lotion but the will smell your clothes!!!
I think you smell good is a good complement but the other day I didn’t have my glasses on and was with my friend who never sees me without them and she went wow you have really pretty eyes. I swear it put me in a good mood for the rest of the day. ( for context I have blues eyes with a super mini ring of green in them)
All I have to do is wear my bf’s hoodie for a day then the text shall come in saying “My sweatshirt still has your scent on it and you smell good”, he’s the sweetest thing I could’ve asked for 💖
What I found works for me. Is things that compliment each other. Don’t always have to be matching scents. And perfume. Always get something that mixes well with YOUR body chemistry. Not just because it smells good in the bottle. But I absolutely love this video ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

it’s really not. all of the products she used are the same scent, so it’s not like a bunch of diff scents together that are overwhelming. it’s okay if u just use whatever body wash n that’s it but some of us want to not only feel clean, but smell clean after lol
about 1-2 years ago i watched this short and didn’t know who you or ryan were. I still remembered every aspect of it. it just popped up on my page with me know being a subscriber to you and ryan and watching multiple videos. i love this ❤
that body spray is super strong and you definitely don’t need anywhere close to that much. i just know everybody around you feels like they can’t breathe. there’s a fine line between smelling good and giving people a headache
I love to smell good, but perfume or body scent or even soap senses dont stay with me 😭😭 I want to be the type of person that walks in the room and everyone can tell its me bcz of my perfume 😭😭
They do stay with you. You've just become what's called "nose blind" meaning you've gotten used to the scent and it doesn't smell as strong to you anymore. But other people can still smell it.
Lol eczema equals no scents fragrance dyes lol bust out dye free sensitive skin products and lotion body cream lotion butters and aquation baby powder wipes vanicream product line is good 4 sensitive skin it's expensive though hello bello and a few other company makes fragrance free hair care. Fragrance free petrolatum or petroleum is good 2 seal in creams or lotion
top tip: just don't see people. Then you won't worry about your own smell or people hating your smell. ALSO... I can't say I agree with putting lots of chemical products on your body just to smell good for others. Smell good for yourself. ALSO: I prefer no smell to smelling like a sephora store. I feel like “You’re stinky if you’re not getting smell-good comments on the regular” is a weird flex and entirely incorrect. You probably smell normal or like not much at all, unless you know you have a specific health or hygiene problem like an infection, overactive sweat glands, if you don’t have access to a bath or shower, or if you’re uncomfortable showering or bathing and you avoid it (if you think any of these are the case, you should tell your doctor or a school nurse, or someone else you trust). No extraordinary measures are needed, otherwise. It’s already hard enough to feel like you’re ok when you’re a young adult. Don’t let this lady make you paranoid so that she can get a following and sponsorship.
Friendly reminder that people are supposed to smell like people. You dont need to go this far to smell “good”. As long as you shower a few times a week, change our underwear, and wear deodorant you wont smell bad.
@@marinamorais369 depends on how much you sweat, where you live, what you do and bunch of other stuff. For some there really is no need to shower every day.

I really don't understand why some can't get that we're all different and have different needs, no need to shame someone because they don't have the need to shower daily. And like you said it's even better for your skin if you skip a day or two.

Me with sensitive skin that only washes and moisturizes with fragrance free stuff and can’t use perfume and when I double wash my skin feels like it’s coming off… 👁👄👁
