Dude your videos are amazing! The fact that you even show how you have to pull the usb flash drive out and back in after turning off ustealth makes this absolutely idiot proof. What killls me is when people dont understand that you need CFW on your WiiU or 3ds to do these sort of things. I always read comments to try to get a better understanding of things and there is always someone who just doesnt get that. never fails. Anyway if you havent already you should get a ps vita and make some nice videos like this for it. It recently got something similar to the freeshop for 3ds and it is a killer console to add to the hacked collection. Thanks for the informative videos!

Having issues with vwii USB loader gx, i have an external hdd fat32 formated with game wbfs on it, that i put on with wii backup manager. When i open usb loader, the games show up but when i go to start them then just go black then it kicks me back to the vwii menu. What am i doing wrong.

There's a tool called DMToolBox which is essentially a Wii Backup Manager for GameCube games that sets everything up for you, it's much easier and compresses the games for you!

Im having a strange problem happening. I have a brand new wd 2tb external hard drive and after using bootice to format to fat32 its losing the drive letter. if i format it through easeus i can retain the drive letter but if i remove it from my pc and plug it back in its losing the drive letter and not recognizing the drive also. This is so frustrating. Doesnt happen in ntfs. any suggestions?

I have tried to get my Wii games to show up for 3 days at this point and still don't understand what i am doing wrong. I downloaded the games onto my SD card instead but it works with the gamecube games. The USB Loader GX doesn't pick up the Wii games but is able to pick up the Gamecube games. I don't know if I have settings messed up or if I need to use my HDD instead, any advice would be helpful at this point. I just want to play the wbfs game files that you can download from websites and not specific disks.

I am not able to see my gamcube games on my hard drive or sd card using usb loader. When I first set it up I could see them. I am able to see my Wii games on the hard drive. I setup the hard drive exactly as you described in the video. Not sure what I am doing wrong.I am able to launch the gamecube games from homebrew using Nintendont - it just isn't as convenient as launching them from USBLoader.

Hey man I followed your tutorials and I had got NSMBW. the game shows in the menu. I can edit the settings. Once I start the game it goes to black for a few seconds and then sends me back to the homebrew menu. This only happens with Wii games.

Hmm I successfully installed the vWii with homebrew channel and loader gx (from previous video). After rebooting my system I can't access those anymore. Homebrew keeps loading and loader gx keeps turning back on the wii menu. Any hints on what happened?

Ok I resolved my question by unpluging the hard drive from the wiiU (while turned off). Then boot the console in order to reach the vWii homebrew channel, plug the hard drive, load loader GX once. It's done, the wiiU recognizes my hard drive each time now. Don't know why the extra step but it is working ! Yay ! Thanks a lot for these videos !!

If I make a partition will I also be able to have a partition for Wii U Homebrew apps (Launcher, WUP Installer, Loadiine, etc) on the same drive in a different partition or will I need a separate drive? 2. I heard that attempting to install Wii Menu themes on the vWii was risky. Do you know if there is any way of safely installing Wii Menu themes on the vWii? Hi, I love your tutorials. I did everything from the last tutorial for setting up and backing up the virtual Wii but when I insert the disk to backup it up in this tutorial, I get the option to install disk but when I click yes it gives me an error "Failed to initialize the USB storage device" Any ideas why?

Has anyone been able to partition a larger than 2tb (4tb into two 2tb partitions) drive into multiple partitions so that the wii u reads from one and the vwii reads from another? I've been googling, but either it is impossible, nobody seems to mention trying it, or i'm just googling the wrong terms. Bootice seems like it would allow for the creation of the multiple partitions and it looks like you could hide the vWii partion from the wii u set up allowing it to format the initial partition for itself.

Very in depth and helpful with what I’ve been trying to do. However it didn’t answer the question I was looking for, which is can I hide a partition on my hard drive from my Wii U for the vWii, and use the other partition for the Wii U format? Will the Wii U just wipe the whole drive?

No idea. Doesn't seem likely to Work. Make sure your checkout tecon moons virtual console injector. That way you can make injects of wii or gc games and install them with wupinstaller on your wiiu hardrive without doing all this

On the Wiiu 5.2.2. It is possible to format my ext. harddrive to one fat32 partation and 1 ntsf, to be able to load some wiiu games on iht and play these and also be able to load some gc and vwii games on it for the usb loadergx?

No but you can watch later in the series how to make gamecube and wii injects which allow you to install them with wupinstaller so they will go on your wiiu formated hardrive with your other game

yeah i do. also i hid my hard drive but usbloader gx freezes at "initialize usb device" and everything else such as emulators doesn't detect my hard drive either and i have the hard drive connected correctly too.

No but i mean when i launch usbloader gx during the boot (with the black screen and logo) it write initialize usb device and stays on this and my usb disk led flash so it's like it is working but i have to unplug the AC adapter to reboot Wii U but if i launch nintendont app from Homebrew Channel it works , but in fact i think it's because i didn't set up my usb drive correcly in BOOTICE, when i do re-partitioning it doesn't show the same options as yours

I LOVE YOUR TUTORIALS man! Keep up the Great work. But i encountered a problem at the very end. I followed everything from part 5 to this part 6 of your tutorial and made sure that what I see on your screen is same as mine. When I start the USBloaderGX it just stays on the loading screen with the logo. Any idea? Not sure what went wrong but i will try to troubleshoot later. Hoping to see more videos from you :)

Update: after troubleshooting, i found that the usbloaderGX will only initialize and read my ext. HDD when i start the usbloaderGX first then while it starts to countdown (waiting for HDD...) i will plug in my HDD. It worked 4/4. Not sure why is this happening.

+GameInCanada sorry to bother you man. I followed this video step by step and I can't get USB gx loader to recognize my USB. I tried with a 256 gb stick and I would get "USB Device not initialized. Switching to channel list mode." I tried every single port. it's fat 32. so I tried with a 16gb USB stick and this time as soon as I click wii games and gc games in USB gx loader the whole wii u becomes unresponsive. it's not frozen. I can move the wii mote around but no matter what I press nothing works. it gets stuck and you can't do anything else. gears button or homebrew or wii button or power button on screen, nothing works. it doesn't register your input from the wiimote. you can't even press the power button for it to turn off. you have to unplug thr power cord and replug it back in to try and reset the console . all I want is for the wii games to show. .. please help

Hey again man, I just finished your tutorial, I had problems at the beginning because I am using a 64gb usb exFat, and my wii and gc games didn't show up so I used the BOOTICE to format it the same way you did on the video and it worked, my wii game runs smoothly but my gc game on the other hand gets stuck as son as I start it on a screen that says: Getting file list...Pleas wait 0.00%. It happens with all the gc ones, well I would appreciate your help like you did before! Thanks again

Well it seems like I fixed my problem with the gc games by moving them into my sd card and then loading them on Nintendont first and then they are able to run on Usb Loader, I would still like to know a way to have the gc and wii games on the usb. But now unfortunately when I try to load some wbfs wii games, the screen turns black and I have to hard reset my console...

Thanks for replying again, and yeah following your 5th part where you change the settings from usb loadergx/loader settings/gc mode is on nintendont and then on custom paths/ Main gc path is set to usb1:/games/ even after that I still get the same problem when I open the gc on usb loadergx "Getting file list...please wait 0.00%" and Nintendont doesn't take my usb fat to load the games there either, only if I move them to my sd card, and like I said, as soon as I load some wii games the screen turns black that actually happens with scarface, but with mario kart all good...any solution, especially for the wii games? I was thinking about forcing it to ntsc but nothing

Did you try assigning a drive letter? Idunno it sounds like your hardrive is dead or something. Maybe just try formating it normally
