I have been looking for a very long time for a teacher of horses that is simple, honest, traditional, and kind. I feel like I found that in you, Mr. Dehass. But I don't know where to start. I am afraid to ride, afraid to train. Out there in my back yard are two horses. But I don't ride. I took him out on the trails and he spooked and turned around to go home. Now I am afraid to take him out again. How do I know when he is ready? How do I get him ready? Though I have ridden and owned and cared for horses, I feel like such a beginner. I really don't know where to start. Can I do this? I think I need a numbered step by step instruction manual with boxes to check before you move on to the next step. I wish I were closer to Ohio than Massachusetts. HELP!
