Dude that Tazaroc guy is insane. I can't believe he found out how to solo Descent. No meme though, great video, everything is very well explained. Descent is definitely a very confusing encounter, and I recommend to anyone who wants to know more to watch Shifu's explanation video. I would also like to point out that my solo method is not used as Shifu's method is much more feasible.
And you don’t have to do the double bomb and get operator for every rotation but it is good to get it so that the encounter is done faster. If it’s not two in middle and u can’t get operator you can simply do finisher to join allies in order delete the other two bombs

You got a lot of it correct but there’s some nuance and jank you didn’t talk about, and it’s not nearly as much rng as you said it was, as after the first round the dunks are no longer a guess

Ok, just in case my math is way off, the reliance on luck in the Descent encounter borders on impossibility. Without using scanner at all, did you say there is a way to know for sure that one of the boxes will be the right one? If there is a way, then (prior to Season of the Splicer) you would only be guessing with the second bomb each round, being one of two adjacent boxes -- in other words a 50/50 coin flip, needing 6 winning coin flips in a row, meaning a 1 in 64 chance (2^6) to complete the encounter with no other mistakes. Okay, that's crazy, but if you are truly guessing on the first bomb, then that adds another coin flip for each wave, meaning 2^12, meaning a 1 in 4096 chance of winning 12 coin flips in a row. That is beyond crazy! And since Season of the Splicer introduced possible diagonal second boxes, the second bomb is not even a coin flip anymore. So if you somehow know a certain single box is good, we'd be dealing with 3^6, or a 1 in 729 chance of guessing the second dunk right every time. And finally, if you don't know anything about any boxes, then you now have a 50/50 shot on the first bomb, but only a 1 in 3 chance on the second, meaning a 1 in 6 chance in total for each round. That works out to 6^6, or a 1 in 46,656 chance of succeeding, even if you do all the other hard stuff flawlessly. So am I nuts here? Surely I am missing something or forgot how to do math. In any case, fascinating video, man. Bungie should give the game away free to anyone who has done this!
I explained the RNG part incorrectly. You only guess on the first rotation then all of the boxes become active because each time a bomb spawns a box becomes active. Three bombs spawn but only one is used so it’s a 3/4 chance. The second rotation 3 more are active + the 2 from the previous part so there’s no more guessing. VoteforShifu (the person who completed it) explains that part better in his explanation video if that doesn’t make sense
@@Marshix You totally explained it right enough (enough to make me understand it's not as bad as I thought!) ... I had already made my post before I watched your explanation. Yeah, no one would try to flip a coin and win 12 times in a row while dealing with all the other chaos along the way. Still a feat I don't think I could do, but it's fun to see it done!
I still use this guide even in witch queen expansion deep stone crypt raid can be done duo and it is very easy to do it even if you done it solo its still good to do this duo to basically do this raid in under 40 minutes and with duo you don't need to have a certain finisher if you do not have any other finisher but the default one this vid still helps new light people till this day
nope and u can do with the "security breach" finisher to do the glitch lol, i know cuz i tried it and it work but u have to do it in the same spot on the vid .
