a) this took a lot of work, please click the like button LOL b) ANYONE CAN BEAT THIS RAID. 1st timers, I'm TELLING YOU, this is the one where you & the squad can get it done. Also, I know more insane strats are ALREADY being developed. Folks right now are perfect the '1 damage phase' on Taniks, which is hot. Again, this covers every encounter with the most straightforward info for folks looking to get their 1st clears. If the vid gets enough likes, I'll take it as a sign from y'all that you want the advanced/heavy strats (ie: 1-phasing, etc) Hope you enjoy and again, 1st TIMERS, YOU CAN BEAT THIS
Fantastic work. The splicing between the PoV of the different roles as they become relevant or swap buffs is top notch and super educational. Best raid guide I have ever seen
I find it insane that during the part where he says “literally anyone can do this raid” he shows the MOST VISUALLY INTENSE PART OF THE RAID WHERE EVERYTHING IS ON FIRE
“Hey man have you even done this raid before!?” “No, but I’ve watched fallout’s raid guide and I’m basically an expert.” *You have been removed from the party.*
This was easily the best raid guide I've ever watched. So many other guides gloss over crucial mechanics but the detail here is wonderful and shared in easy to understand language. Great work
@@dmijnsen06 just think about the stuff he said whilst in the actually raid with people who know how to do it, it’s always way more confusing when you can’t look at all the things in person and experience it
@@swagpenguin553 also for the record like all of Kackis’ guides are so confusing and Datto glosses over all the stuff he assumes we just get because he alrdy understands them/ knows them U want a good example of guide comparison watch Ninja Pups Crown of Sorrow guide and compare it to Kackis’ and you’ll be fuking mindblown - especially on their descriptions of the last 2 encounters
Did the DSC raid for the first time yesterday and was confused as hell. Came to look at some raid guides and BY FAR, your guide is the most comprehensive and easy to follow along. I appreciate you, Papa Fallout. Thank you
After I've successfully attempted my very first raid, DSC, after studying your guide... There's no doubt you present the raid in the easiest way to follow. Your guides are the best. You literally should do them for all raids and dungeons.. And no I'm not joking. And you should do shortcuts and such with them. A second DSC with actual like, cheeses and shortcuts if you got them.. If that even makes sense.
Kinda sucky when it happens. Some people are just jerks but I know the flip side when we need a quick clear and we don't have the time. I've never been in a fireteam that has booted off someone that impolitely. Hopefully it hasn't put you off raiding. There are definitely a lot of people who don't mind raid newbies. Hope you find a good team or do what I did and join a good clan. Being in one really helps. :)
@@deepakcharles I agree, I always find it annoying when an LFG post explicitly says "Know What To Do", and then someone joins asking to be taught the mechanics... However, I still count watching guides as knowing what to do.
This is BY FAR the best guide I’ve seen because he shows what things look like for all the buffs and walks through what each buff needs to do. Well done.
Definitely do this raid. This one is much easier than past raids by quite a lot and absolutely worth farming to get the spoils of conquest to buy past raid gear.
i havent played destiny in a few years. just popped in to see the new raid design. my best memories were speed running crota every tuesday 3 times (D1 obviously). iron banner, and getting the platinum trophy for D2 (i never got it in D1 - i was missing the complete a raid without dying)
I will be trying this raid for the first time tomorrow. This guide seems really helpful. The Taniks has no house joke is the best thing I've heard all day
Dude this is great None of my teammates know deep stone crypt and i volunteered to study the mechanics for our first try (kinda late, i know) and this video is AMAZING Very clean, very easy to understand, i appreciate you being straightforward but also how you make sure every mechanic is explained as thoroughly as possible
Your Last Wish guide was so good that I really held my own the whole way through even though I was new. So I came here and now I feel much more prepared for DSC. PLEASE do one for Gardens, if you can spare the time. The diagrams and maps are super helpful, and the tips and humor are always appreciated. Great job and thanks for your hard work.
With immense respect to Datto this is the best raid guide ive seen. Thanks for putting the time in to help us out man. This is the season i get back into raiding!!
Best DSC raid guide right now by far, and for what I have seen so far from other youtubers, this is the only guide that will really help you understand the mechanics without even playing the raid. Thanks a lot, you are awesome!!!
I’d love to be able to do this raid but even after watching a video I just don’t want to be that guy that causes wipes and lets everyone down. My main worry is people losing patience with me if I do mess up.
Same here man, I feel you, I'd love to do this raid and farm Spoils of Conquest for Anarchy but even after watching this video 2 times I'm still confused... It's just impossible to not mess things up where you're new to the raids even if you watched 100 videos. I wish there was a team with all first timers so it wasn't only me messing things up and we all could take our time and practice.
You shouldn't worry about that. That's what sherpa's are for. I started out nervous about these things myself, but now I'm fairly proficient in VoG, LW and GoS. Now I just need to run DSC and get up to speed with it. It does seem convoluted to almost a silly extent, but I imagine once you've done it a handful of times, it becomes second nature.
@@chriscunningham8703 destiny community: plate mechanics are boring! Give us unique ones! also destiny community: this new mechanic is so hard trash game never playing it again REEEEEE
I don't normally comment on videos, but I have to say this was super well produced and HIGHLY informative, and makes me a lot less nervous about going for this raid, especially in a sea of "KWTD" LFG posts. I feel like i legitimately DO KWTD even without actually running the raid myself yet. So thank you for the fantastic guide!
This raid is amazing. It’s beautiful. It may not be as difficult as others (ahem, garden) but it has the best music and best vibe of any of them. Maybe I’m just biased towards the bray family though.
You're the best, Fall Out. I've had a sherpa teach me the raid but considering I've only done one role, the explanations of the others didn't clarify all of my questions. This guide truly is what I needed.
This guide got me back into raiding when beyond light launched, I didn't do last wish or garden of salvation because they were so mechanic heavy and most people on lfg did not have the patience for newbies to mess up encounters, learn from their mistakes and gain experience, and it only gets harder to find groups for these older raids the longer you wait. How fallout worded everything here gave me courage to go back and find a group, I got kicked a lot from groups but I stuck it through and lied through my teeth telling everyone i was experienced just so they'd let me in, after trial and error I became exceptional at it, I know this raid is very easy as well.
Raids are so overwhelming for me. Even watching this guide is giving me anxiety to never do this raid because I'm afraid I'd just be a nuisance to everybody
Don’t worry about it. Every single one of these raids sounds so much more complicated than it is. You’ve got to play it at least a few times and refer back to the video to properly understand it. You’ll find a solid team eventually and even if they do get fed up, there’s thousands of others.
I know that feel, but I do encourage you to try with a fresh run lfg group tho. I get anxious when I raid too because im worried that everyone would blame me if they wipe or fail just cuz im the newbie, but so far the groups I've went with were chill and patient !
Don't be intimidated. Find an LFG post that isn't "must have 20 clears, flawless gos seal, etc." And have fun. If people freak out on a wipe thats their loss, it's just a game. Everyone was new and had to learn at some point.
Man, you are the most helpful for D2 PvE content ever. I started back in D2 at the end of Season of the Splicer and didn’t get a chance to do DSC and GoS when they were the main raids. Now I’ve got an itch to do them, but I don’t want to be completely useless when I find a team. Your raid guides are the most thorough and easy to understand ones out there. Many thanks, Fallout.
This is easily the clearest and best guide for this raid. Simply explained, with footage to match the instructions being described at the time. This is great work.
NGL I think this is the best guide out there right now. Others are a lot of useless extra words and youtuber showmanship, this one is just clear clean and good. Nice work and thanks fallout
For anyone worrying about not being able to do this raid me and a group of friends managed to 4 man the first encounter with literally no experience at all. It seems scary at first but it’s really easy and fun once you get into the groove. And please don’t be afraid of LFG. I was scared of LFG before but when I heard anarchy was going away I forced myself to run scourge of the past and had a lot of fun. Some people are assholes but most of the people there are pretty chill. Good luck with your runs.
The fact that you've included pictorial explanation of each roles/buffs and the map for the encounter, already makes this a worthwhile guide. Edit: Did a run with a sherpa, everything becomes chaotic when u actually do the raid. Coming back to this video after that makes a lot of things clear. Therefore, i would advice everyone to do the raid at least once and them come back to the video. Finally, subs earned.
Anybody doing this for the first time feel intimidated doing this for the first time? Well, I got my first clear about three days ago. Had some great clan mates that helped me through it. You definitely need to have an idea of what's going on, even if your being carried. This guide was the most clear and concise, it definitely helped me to be able to keep up at times. My advice, focus on encounters 2, 3 & 4 of this guide, maybe watch it multiple times as I have. To me, that's the bread and butter of where it's going to require communication among raidmates.
How exactly do I like a video more than once? Awesome guide, Fallout. Really appreciate how concise it was, yet you cover everything. AND show roles from every point of view, instead of just look at me being successful background footage.
Thank you so much, Fallout. Even after a raid sherpa taught me the raid I wasn't sure about the roles since I was given the easier tasks but after watching this guide, I managed to do the raid 3 times back to back having played multiple roles each time.
By far the best raids guide I’ve seen. FallOut that first section on the roles, as an educator, the way you did that was excellent! Thanks on behalf of all aspiring raiders! Thanks to you we can not only participate but do so while being helpful and some what competent! :)
It's not bad at all. It's very teachable if you have 2 or 3 people on your team that have run it before. The encounters teach you the mechanics as you progress through the raid so by the end you're pretty experienced at everything.
I loved the humour in this vid, I had to constantly go back and re-watch parts because I was laughing to myself at a joke you made. Finna do this when it's featured this coming week, thanks a lot!
Just rewatched the khakis guide on dsr and left with more questions than answers, only to stumble on this beautiful guide. This was really easy for me to understand, thank you so much
The intro was great! Love it when the community helps out the new guys. Destiny can be intimidating at first, but the new guys are what keep the game alive so let's welcome them!
we just finished first encounter today because there are 3 first timers on the raid. it was very satisfying to finish because its my first time too. glad i found this guide really helpful for the nxt encounters
This guide was by far the best of the bunch of raid guides out for Deep Stone Crypt. Now I can do all rolls instead of my usual suppressor & operator. Much appreciate. Onyxprym out lol.
This is the best Raid guide I've seen so far, Your hard work pays off! You actually physically show what you're talking about! I kinda wish you froze frames on exactly what enemies with the scanner looks like etc etc, but otherwise I Love it
I watched rick kackis’s video on the same thing and you explained it much much better. I went into it all confused and then after I finished the raid with some guys that helped me out I watched this video and I wish I had before I did the raid so I wouldn’t have had to get carried so hard.
Yo FP, this is the best DSC Raid guide out there. It's concise, to the point and broken down clearly between the roles. I love it. Keep up the good work!
Watched this religiously when I was bad at the game hoping some day i'd be able to do the raid for those beautiful weapons. Wouldn't be the raider I am today without this vid being honest
My team usally does the chaos strat for the third encounter, meaning if you see a buff, you pick it up and do it. For taniks, we do 4 bombs at once which makes the scanner usless and makes the encounter easier.
This is great ... i will live this part vicariously, as I have hard time remembering where I set my coffee down, let alone what freaking scanner to shoot to shoot. Seriously
Joined a random group online yesterday...jumped in with a 1202 power and didn't know wtf anyone was talking about. It was like everyone was speaking another language. Long story short: Dudes were cool AF, carried me all the way through until the final fight so I can score the loot, where I then departed since I knew they needed someone of equal power (who knew what to do). Yezzus......watching this first would definitely have helped so I at least knew what was going on. Will be watching this again before a new attempt.
Just used this guide to get into a fireteam where half the team left and was filled in by other players 3 different times and then the host left at the taniks fight and never came back :) great video game
