Archiving emails in the new Outlook for Mac can be a bit different from previous versions. Here’s how you can do it: Manual Archiving: Select the emails you want to archive. Right-click and choose "Archive," or click on the "Archive" button in the toolbar. Using the Archive Folder: Outlook automatically creates an Archive folder where you can manually drag emails you wish to archive. This is a very annoying bug in Outlook for mac! Only fix I found is to disable the cloud sync feature which is enabled by default when adding IMAP accounts. Then you will be able to change the display name for the account again. Since cloud-sync is not a setting you can enable/disable you'll have to remove the IMAP accounts and add them again and make sure you disable the sync feature during the process. The interface is very obscure and you'll need to choose 'NOT IMAP' in the top right (go figure) to select IMAP without sync. You will lose features like search indexing on these accounts, though. @@indigosoftware9625 Thanks for trying to help i really appreciate it but i think we have different versions of Outlook for Mac, i'm using version 16.82, office home and business 2021, there is no "advanced button" anymore so no way to change the smtp. I can do it in legacy but when it switches over to the 365 version there seems to be no way to change the smtp. looks like i will have to delete account and re-enter with the smtp i want to use. my fear is outlook must be using about 350GB of a 500GB SSD so not sure if it will all crash when i enter same account again... familiar story of trying to mix Microsoft and Apple products and falling down in the middle!

Yes, currently, the New Outlook for Mac does not have the option to automatically show all flagged emails at the top of your inbox, like the Windows version does. For the second issue: Turn automatic saving of draft messages on or off or change how often drafts are saved. In the left pane, click Mail. Under Save messages, select or clear the Automatically save items that have not been sent after this many minutes check box. You can also use this option to change how often draft messages are saved.

To schedule a Teams meeting in the latest version of Outlook for Mac: Open Outlook and go to the Calendar view. Click on New Event in the top menu. In the event window, click on Teams Meeting to add Teams meeting details. Fill in the event details like Title, Date, Time, and Attendees. Click Send to schedule the meeting. My IT guy and I were messing around with this yesterday, and the autocomplete is missing, which means that it's corrupt. He told me the only way we can repair my Outlook is to start from scratch, and I don't want to lose my email files.

New outlook is still missing features, or has certain bugs. Unfortunately Legacy will be your only option to access those old emails for right now.

Select Calendar > Meeting. Add attendees, a subject, and a location. Select Scheduling to see when everyone is free, and select a time that works. Select Appointment to go back and add an agenda to the meeting. Select Send.

In the calendar page, right click or hit ctrl + click > Propose a new time Tentative and Propose New Time Tip: By selecting this option, if the meeting organizer doesn't accept your proposed new time, you'll appear as a 'tentative' attendee in the calendar.

What type of email account do you have configured in Outlook? POP, IMAP, Outlook.com, or Microsoft Exchange? The delay send feature on the mac is handled by the exchange server, not the client software, so you need to use outlook.com or newer on-premise exchange server. Emails may have been filtered by your email service, moving them to another folder. Another reason is that you don't have enough storage for new messages

What type of email account do you have configured in Outlook? POP, IMAP, Outlook.com, or Microsoft Exchange? Who is your email provider? You can only add folders to certain account types in the New Outlook at this time.

Settings is just what Mac renamed the "preferences" menu on the latest updates. However it is functionally the same menu.

If Outlook for Mac shows unread emails but you can't find them, try these steps: Check Filters: Ensure no filters are hiding certain emails. Clear any filters by selecting "All Mail" or "Unread Mail" in the sidebar. Search Folder: Use the search bar to look for emails marked as unread. Type is:unread to find them. Are you trying to add new contacts or utilize an existing contact list?

Choose one or more messages in your folder to archive. On the ribbon, choose Archive. If you don't see the Archive button and you're using the newest Outlook for Mac interface, you may need to customize your toolbar. As soon as you choose Archive, messages are immediately moved to the archive folder you've specified.

@@Achapunjabi My apologies. If you don't have Illustrator and save. Then try to open with Preview, Preview will default to opening it in .pdf. Try deleting com.apple.LaunchServices.plist in your User's LIbrary then log out/in to see if that helps. Otherwise you might try one of the utilities like Onyx to delete caches.

There are several user voices open to have it added. I would recommend voting and driving as many people as possible to them in order to get Microsoft's attention on them. Unfortunately, AFAIK there is no third party add-ons which do this so it will be a case of waiting for Microsoft and having to switch into the calendar view for the foreseeable future. Click the OUTLOOK menu in the upper left corner of your screen (next to the apple) > click on where it says (NEW OUTLOOK) in the list with the check next to it. This will switch the interface back to the traditional, classic look of Outlook. You'll need to re-add your email account but after setup magically the options are no longer greyed out. A really simple fix that is completely non-intuitive for the user unfortunately. Hope this fixes your problem!

Right click on your email address in the left pane, choose account settings and log out. When you log in again-it should be working just fine

I would make a new profile and set it as the main profile and see if that works. If so, then you can delete it later.

Unfortunately, there's no feature to recall sent email messages in any version of Outlook for Mac. I only use a stand alone copy of Office and can use Legacy. I would suggest a reinstallation, or singing out and signing back in. We’ve had this issue before and if I recall correctly, only solution is to download the attachments and re add them manually, or forward the email.

Hi Harkan, Which version and build of Outlook are you using? See File, Office Account for the information. What type of email account do you have configured in Outlook? POP, IMAP, Outlook.com, or Microsoft Exchange? If you aren't sure, go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings > Email tab to check. That error is telling you have you have an old ANSI format file set as the delivery location for email. You need to use the newer Unicode file format, which current versions of Outlook should use by default. -Gabe

Check if your email provider requires you to use an app password instead of your regular password. Make sure that your Outlook is up-to-date and if not, update it. Normally the only way to have multiple choice when using changing the from address in outlook for mac is when the address is added as an account. Thank you for your time and understanding. Unfortunately, it looks like the only currently solution is to toggle legacy outlook to use the notes feature.

Are you trying to rename your profile, or individual emails and files?

First, select the revert to legacy option from the help menu. Then you can click the People (Contacts) icon. Go to the Home tab and click New Contact Group in the ribbon. Give your group a Name at the top. Click Add Members in the ribbon and pick From Outlook Contacts or From Address Book (per your preference). Here are some steps I found from a microsoft support forum. Open the message or view it in the reading pane. Next to the list of attachments, click Preview Preview button or Preview All Preview All button. The first attachment is displayed in the preview window. Use the controls at the top of the preview window to view the attachments. Options include opening the preview window in full screen, skipping to the next attachment, viewing all attached documents, and opening the document. For more options, click Open with Preview at the top of the window, and use the controls at the top of the new preview window to interact with the attachment Hope this helps! My go to method is to just download the attachment so that I don't have to try and troubleshoot outlook for Mac.

I would first verify a strong internet connection. If that isn't your issue, I'd recommend signing out of your email account within the outlook app and re-adding it in to see if that will fix your issue. Hope this helps!

@@indigosoftware9625 in other words, Microsoft couldn't be troubled to provide contact lists and list management in this release..very disappointing...the problem with monopolies that don't have to make their products work very well as they have high switching costs.- they are shortchanging millions of Mac users...

This can be caused by the following: Issues with Internet connection. Issues with Default View Settings of Outlook folders. Lack of space in Outlook mailbox account. Auto Archive Settings. Hope this helps!
