@@user-xt3ue7bs5m Go to the Connect home screen, then press More on the bottom right-hand side. Next, scroll down to Settings, press Settings, and then press Phone Permissions. Lastly, you will see Manage Permissions at the bottom of the screen. Press that, and you will be taken to the App info page. Press Permissions, then go to Location and set it to Allow All the Time. Hopefully this helps.

@@Dan-Morley The easiest way is to go into your phone settings and then to Apps. Find the Connect app, go to permissions, then locations, and turn it to always on

very well explained!!! But got my 6x pro solar 3 days ago... watched all the touble shooting videos... Gave all the permissions, synch, reset the garmin app (just in case). Bt is connected.... Still, when i get to app widget: same message ''Waiting for data''. Can't figure out what I am not doing right. Any suggestions?? Tks!

Well. even if it got permission for location, does your phone have location enable? Have you tested to handpick the location? And finally, try to reboot you phone and your watch. They are both electronic device after all. 😂

If you still have the problem, try changing the temperature through the weather widget on the watch from F to C and back. That worked for me.

Garmin needs to do a software update or something that allows weather to auto update to location over GPS

How did you get the green lines on the watch? Is it aftermarket or did it come with the watch from factory?

That is factory default. The interface might vary a bit from a watch to an other.

Pretty sure the settings has changed now. No longer has choose location. For my fenix 7 Pro it's now on the watch.

Hello, I tried the both ways you recommended to configure the weather info in the Garmin Connect app of my iPhone. But can´t still get the weather info. in none of the watchfaces of my Instinct 2X. Any other suggestions to fix this issue?

If that situation, sorry I don't know what to say. I did realise however that I had such a better experience when my watch was paired to my android, rather than now with an iPhone.

For some reason they removed fixed location from connect. Now I can only use the gps location which is somehow always wrong.

@@HowToPMYou probably haven’t update the app but in latest versions the user cannot change the location option anymore. I recently bought a Fenix 7 pro and I start already to be disappointed!

What fixed mine was to turn the watch off, then turn it back on to pare again. Too simple

@@FamilyFinance I forgot to mention, you have to have the Garmin Connect app open when turning watch back on. May help someone.

I have a problem I cannot find weather location in user settings there is not. My problem is the weather Celsius are stucked at 7 degree witch is not correct meanwhile the hourly forecast are correct 2-3 degrees … what is the problem here? I tried to restart reinstall and dissociate but is the same on my Tactix 7 pro. The weather map works whit correct degrees

Unfortunately all I can say to help is in that video. I can also add that the waether feature was working much better on my previous android rather than my actual iPhone. But still, it work on both of them. Maybe just try to reboot the watch, the app and the phone. And make sure the location is enable on your phone.

I also have the same problem. Using fixed location was my solution, I was selecting another location nearby and it was solving the issue. But now it is only selecting a location based on the GPS (they removed the fixed location feature with an update 2 months ago), which gives incorrect information, which affects my training and wellness metrics.

Oh. Well the weather app did improve on the most recent watch. Unfortunately if your watch is up to date and you don't have more data, I don't think there is something you can do to get it on your actual watch.

The weather app is the Garmin Connect App. So your phone need to be connected to your watch from time to time, have location enable and access to internet. This said, the weather was way more stable when I had an android phone, I have lot more trouble today with an iPhone.
