Your showing 3 versions of how to add ease in her shoulder area to help solve one of her fitting problems is impressive. I agree about applying small changes at a time, plus with dealing with knits allow for the additional stretch that knits provide in contrast to woven fabrics.
I wish you could see the happy dance I just did when I put on my custom tank top and it FIT! I NEVER would have guessed the shoulder slope needed adjusting. Thank you, thank you!

In general, yes. Woven and knit fitting issues look very similar. Knits are more difficult to solve because they have fewer fitting elements incorporated into the pattern.
