These owners are way more receptive and good at following directions for once. They actually knew how to stay relaxed. I hope Fergus does really well as a therapy dog in the future.

It’s for sure easy for Cesar at the beginning because dogs can sense his strong energy and after that, it is all about the owners … it’s not about training the dogs, it’s about coaching the owners the right methods 😅☺️

I did a burns icu rotation at LAC for clinicals when I was in nursing school last fall so this made me really happy to see this and how the patients lit up when Fergus was with them 😭

Burns are so horribly painful. Everyone that helps work victims, from doctors, nurses, therapist and the survivors themselves that work to move on... I wish I could send you anything to make your lives better. I'm not sure if prayers or blessing are enough or a cliché but you have all my respect.

As always, you’ve helped me know what I must do with my new 59lb. Tennessee Treeing Hound-Dog. Teddy, short for Theodore. He is very loving.🥰 While also, trying to be the guard dog of our home & yard. There is a lumber 🪵 yard, across the street from us. Teddy doesn’t have his “fence” yet built for his yard.It’s on his daddy’s (To Do List) We just got a new roof,& built a shed, 20ft. X 30ft or more. Trees 🌳 to be trimmed. Teddy has been taught to protect his yard, and home.He actually plays with a Pitt Bull puppy, younger than him by 6mos. at least.Neutering is scheduled for June 14th. Praying 🙏🏼 this calms his aggression,keeps him from roaming, & humping behavior, with his large fuzzy dog bed. It did all three for my Chihuahua that passed away on me after 14 glorious years.Teddy is the largest dog I have ever had to train. In our family, mom got us medium sized, Shelties( mini-Shetland Sheepdogs). They are known for being great with kids. Etc.I am working as best I can to train Teddy. I’ve been a part of a group email about puppies. Large sized puppies. Anyway, thanks for sharing all your wisdom. I appreciate you letting us have the tidbits for free, still after all these years. 💖🙏🏼🌈🐶🐕‍🦺

Being a dog trainer myself, I know and understand your views and approaches. As is almost always the case, it is the problem at the other end of the collar. If people understood that a dog was a dog and they were the leader of the pack, they were not their father or mother, and gave them clear boundaries, it would be much better and easier for everyone! Cesar, I doubt you will ever see this, but I appreciate these videos so much. I just got involved with a local animal shelter to start fostering. My daughter had learned of a dog in terrible need, called me, and said "Mom we have to help." After trying to find a foster, I decided I had to do it because I could not find an open foster spot after calling all over the entire state of MI. It has been about a month now, and we are adjusting. My main focus was to get her healthy, and we are definitely in better shape than ever there, so we need to focus on being a great dog. I decided after just a couple of weeks to adopt her. I wanted to really see this through, help her become a great girl, and learn as much as possible in the process to help more dogs in need find homes. Her name is now Charlie, and she is a Staffy. Charlie joins a Shiba Inu brother also. I admire everything you do, and dream of being successful like you have became in this area. Your approach makes so much sense to me, and I really appreciate what you do. ❤️

I have a loopy Great Dane who has slipped into a habit of becoming reactive on lead. I'm not used to this, none of my dogs had it before, so I came here for help. Thanks for sharing this, I have a lead like that, and will start practising with her today. She terrifies people at the moment, lets see if I can turn that around! I wish Fergus all the best too, and hope he succeeds as a therapy dog, they do such great work for people who need it.

Hi Mr. Millan. I just saw my 1st video of you & subbed immediately after! I know nothing in life comes free, but this truly isn't for me, it's for my dogs. My wife & I moved to Mexico a few years ago & the disregard they have for dogs here is deplorable! So I tried to do my part & I rescued a few & grew our dog family to four. Well two of the ones I rescued were females & I didn't get them spayed right away because there were other more pertinent health issues to deal with. Anyway, they both were attacked by stray dogs who broke through our fence to get at them & now I have a total of 21 dogs. I am trying to sell the pups, but have only been able to find good homes for 2 so far. These dogs are the most loving bunch you will ever meet, but they're not the brightest & I cannot train them to save my life. Any chance you'll be near Rosarito Beach in the near future?! Please, I need help!

My dog behaves the same as Fergus except he's only 12 lbs. We have spent many hours with trainers and he's PERFECT with them on leash around other dogs - clearly its us.

Thank you cutie Fergus for being an inspiration to these patients. Burn traumas are challenging. I’ve nursed quite a number of burn patients and it’s heartbreaking to see them in such condition. It doesn’t only affect them physically but also emotionally/mentally. It takes a lot of patience and encouragement/motivation to guide them towards your ultimate goal which is for rehabilitation/wellness. ❤️

Absolutely amazing Cesar! I've learned so much from you about so many things for my dog. My little dog was trained by one of your friends & former students who now lives in WI. Training with him is like training with you. You truly are amazing with dogs & training people! Thank you for sharing your wonderful videos.

Have 2 gladiators that recently turned 1 years old. A Presa Canario and Pitbull. Got them near 4 months old. I walk them together and individually. They've been socialized in public with children, different people, and other dogs. The Presa is weary of some strange people at first (normal) but no problems with other dogs. His size is intimidating. He can be walked with a regular collar with the leash draped over my shoulder. The Pitbull is more relaxed around people and dogs he knows. He's higher energy and has trouble on leash walks when passing other large dogs barking behind fences. He sometimes jumps and spins. When walking both, we avoid those houses because his anxiety can sometimes cause him to pick a scrap with the Presa, which can be serious. He's not too concerned with calm or smaller dogs. Wondering if a slip leash would be better than a Sprenger or Gentle Leader when working with him solo. We do passes by the dogs the makes him react for practice. Note: I didn't want or plan on training 2 pups. I wasn't thinking too clearly after I lost my best buddy in the picture. His training started at 8 weeks old. I could take him anywhere.

I’ve been hoping for my dog to one day be my service dog. He knows his tasks and is great at home, but he’s slowly been developing some leash reactivity, and now he’s full one leash reactive, so I can’t take him anywhere and he can only work at home. This video helped a lot and I’ll be practicing what you taught in this video with him. Hopefully soon enough I’ll be able to start training him to work outside of the home as well

Hi, I've watched alot of your small clip videos on different behaviors and I'm amazed on how good you are with training. You are great with all kinds of breeds. I have 2 french bulldogs...male and female. The male has a very bad habit of suddenly going after your hands and acting vicious. He gets this evil look and it makes you afraid. He is very attached to you, and so loving, he just wants and needs to be around you, doesn't like to b alone. At night it various, sometimes its him and sometimes its her, where they start by starring at each other n then they get this evil look, they start to growl and then they go at it, it looks and feels like if they hate each other. After seconds they are all over each other, like nothing happen. Also they have an excess barking problem, where they bark at almost anything. They jump on anyone that comes in the house. I cant take them anywhere due to their behavior. I wish i can take them everywhere with me, but not like this. I dont know what to do and how to correct this problem. I wish you can help me and spare giving me an advice.

@CesarMilan you are an inspiration to anyone that has ever adopted a dog , no matter what kind or sort .. Personally I have 2, 1 I rescued,, person was too much of a socialite,, look at me type ,, but any how .. at 14 months I got to finally meet him and with a bit of insight from your self and others like you,, I had him in my sights ,, 2 weeks later I got the call ,, when can you come and get him ,, ,, he was aggressive uncontrolled and unresponsive ,, he wouldn't listen to his owner and with a few selective words he shut down ,, Bless you ,, Bear is now a very on me good boy that has taught his adoptive sister Tahlee how to listen to Dad .. no exceptions,,, they have one word that they do know means business with me ,, and that is BED,,,, they know they cannot excede my authority regardless and they do not excede the limits ,, Oh I so do love them ,,, Bear is now a 5 year old Medium German Spitz ,, who listens.. Tahlee , is nearly 2 ,, June 10th to be exact,, she still has a bit more to go but is a great girl as she has taken away from Bear ,, a few of his B, S qualities .. she is priceless.. she wasn't a rescue but from 3 minutes old when the Breeder put her litter up.. I msg'd her and said I want that Pup ... Tahlee .. is a Small German Spitz / Pomeranian,, what a joy I now have
