💦 Ternary Liquid-Liquid extraction systems can often prove to be a difficult endeavour, especially when using the triangular coordinate system to determine the stream compositions, in chemical engineering separation processes. 💯
✅ In this tutorial, we simplify the process and break down the steps required to accurately annotate and solve any type of system. Here we use a water, acetone and TCE mixture. We apply the fundamentals of how to interpret the initial data, and determine the raffinate and extract flow rates and compositions.

Thanks for the video. I think there is a small mistake at minute 12:51 corresponding to the location of the feeding point. The feed point should be at 0.55 water composition and 0.45 acetone composition. My answer to the question is Acetonitrile, Ethanol and Water.

15:46 if x for water is 0.22 and for acetone is 0.18, then it won’t meet in point M. I tried and it didn’t meet and I don’t know if it’s my mistake or yours 😅 please can check it and inform me?
