I just want to let you know that your tutorial is awesome! I had loaded my broadcaster about 5 years ago on my previous laptop so I had long forgotten the setup. Your session showed me how to set up my microphone settings.. Thanks you so much.
Correction if I may.. With auto fade out level set high, you stated your music will be loud.Not true. The higher the setting the lower the music will be when you use the Microphone to talk. I have my fade out level set to 95%, so that my music is low but can still be heard in World in the back round depending on how I want to make my announcements. It really sounds great when I hear how I my voice sounds in World over the music. At times I make announcements with no music playing at all when set to manual play. I can make long announcements & not hear the loopback of my own voice in World because I use a Headphone cut out switch that only kills the Headphones, allowing my Mic to continue working. Then I press Enter to play the next tune in my Queue list :)

that,s wrong info.. on the playlist box scroll down to content click on it open folder sound fx then add to that folder.. then after you have put jingles/sound ef in that folder.. then reload on sound fx box button between the eq button to reload them
strange not on mine. what version are you using with me l have gone back to a old version 4.2.2 did have pro but had nothing but trouble with it with large playlists/database have over 22Tbs of music in 8 folders..
lol l see what you mean they all go to a folder in playlist called contant click there then folder sound fx .. you right all go in one folder on the sound fx panel all sound fx,s are there With mine l use it as a Cart Machine/Jingle Player if your jingles are tagged with name ect then they can play using any of the pads to play over and tracks you are playing.. just like a normal radio station can.
Note if you go to Config Audio Mixer Pipeline Bypass Decks A And B Sound Fx And Voice Fx.. Only Have It Active On Mixer. Then It Don,t Take Some Much Resources From Your Comp. From A Radio Guy Who Has Been Using Sam Broadcaster For Over 16 Years
go to config on top of sam broadcaster click on it then scroll down to Audio mixer pipeline click on AGC on all deck A B SoundFX Bypass all click on it should light up green Where it Has Mixer AGC Leave That On... Don,t Touch.. Then It Will Work.

I have been using Team Viewer and voice over IP to do a live broadcast . . . the person on the other side logging into my computer sounds really quiet and sometimes breaks up . . . is there a good setting for their mic to be set on? Can I use a VAC to feed the voice over IP instead to make it sound better?
I just started DJing on SL and for some reason it's picking up the sound on mic for the music and not my soundcard. I'm new to the program so I can't figure out how to get it so it only plays the music through my soundcard and my voice when I mic up.
I love this tutorial, and most of everything you stated I already had configured. I am finding that I have a problem with people in SL only being able to hear my voice on the right side of the headset. I have been DJing for at least 7 years, and have always had this issue no matter how many times I attempt to fix it. Is there something I am missing in SAM that can fix this, or am I just S.O.L.? P.S. If I use Skype, SL voice, etc., my voice comes through in both speakers/headset sides. I am a bit confused about this. :P
Thank you for your help. I was able to set my stream to mono instead of stereo, and for some reason that did the trick. I am horrific with anything technical, so I have no idea if that is even something I should have done to begin with, or if it is just some weird thing. :P
i was wondering if u could help me i have sam broadcaster pro 2016.8 - out of the blue its starting to go batty, when i try to search songs it starts a slow load to find but doesn't completely load enuf to search.....i can't drag or queue up any songs that i want and now the songs have run out of my queue and they won't fill up ev en though i went to my playliste rotation rules i have it set for 10 songs in the queue. what is going on with it?
I've got SAM 2016 and a Xenyx qx1202usb mixer. My radio station is live, and I'd like to record some voice overs using the "Voice-Tracking" tool. Is it possible to do this in audition mode or some way where I can get my voice recorded but not have it go out over the internet live?
Got a ? for ya I have altered my settings as u have urs am using a Cosair Raptor HS40 gaming headset I am not sure where to set the AGC, Compressor Limiter and Expander so that the mic does not pick up any sounds at all in. it's currently picking up the freq output of my PC and feeding it thru the mic CH at a gain of -5 to -7 db. need to figure how to reduce that so my voice when i Que up over my tracks don't have a humming sound. Plus try to stop it jumping when playback is enabled it's clear until i key up mic then it jumps any ideas. If i unplug the heads set revert back to sound card and use the inbuilt mic in cam everything is fine. no jumpy no gain humming from inside PC. so am stumped with this one
HELP! I have a problem with some tracks I record; save as mp3 files...play through Sam Broadcaster PRO. With no notice the track doesn't play the beginning and/or ends before the track is finished & goes on to the next file scheduled in QUE. Frustrating that I can't figure this out; creates havoc playing all that I've scheduled for the hour. Is their perhaps a setting off somewhere in the fade section of the Song Information Card? Great tutorial. I have a question that maybe you may have the answer. All of my song listing on sam are doubled up. One will play and one won't and I have no idea why. Do you know of a way off getting rid of the duplicate tracks? I have tried the remove duplicates and it always come up as none removed.

You Will Always Gonna Get duplicate tracks like you get the greatest hits album of one artist/band and you find the track is also on a comp album again if it,s on a mix album and so on

hello thank you very much for your reply to my question honestly I'm using Sam ..... In trial format to make sure I can use it for all I need (it's practical for my usage), I'm using microphone and back..... To record the voice. It doesn't have a good quality and background music is not in the recorded voice or when you hear the background music, you can't hear other voices. Please let me know how can I record both at the same time with a good quality. I expect to have a good quality while people are listening to the radio not a low one. thank you very much for help

You know how sometimes you Queue up a song and when it goes to play but sam skips that song and goes on to the next song? ...I know the answer is to remove that song from "all" then retrieve it from your external folder and add it back to Sam thats fine. But is it common that it happens for almost every 2nd or 3rd song?......is there no permenant fix and why does it do this? Part 2 of this question: I'm tired of disappointing my listeners who request a song and when i queue it up i don't know if its going to skip or not but then it does skip that request . So i usually get on the Mic and tell them i will get thier song right after the next one sorry about that. Is there a away of knowing the song will not play? lol........so frustrating :0
IF your serious then gut a quality USB PodCast type Mic , You can get away with a respectable quality Headset so this will double as your monitor as well. How it is set up will depend on the version of SAM and your OS . First off set your headset or Mic in the OS so you have Audio input to the PC Once this is confirmed you simply select this device in SAM's Mic config tab.

that is normal you will have a delay of around 15 to 30 secs depends on where the broadcasting server is based in the world.... there is not much you can do with that.. just when you are sending live listen to yourself though headphones or speakers.. if you use speakers mute them when using a mic or you will get feedback..
As Said It Depends On Where You Streaming Server is the longer the distance the longer the delay say if you where in Uk And Streaming Server In Usa then can be long delay... also depends on your up speed and what kbs you are broadcasting
my Internet speed is good and I'm using 64 so do you know good seam that I buy primum package from them with less delay for Canada or may be I have to use 128 kb so I don't know yet thank you
If You Are A Little Tech Wise.. There Is A DSP Plugin Called Stereo Tool Which Is Free You Will Get A Much Better Sound From That.. But Will Need The Time To get use to it as there is a lot of setting on it..
Hey DJ you do realize that no.one knows where your pointing half the time as you bloody mouse cursor in not visible . Depending on just how the server is set up then lack of data ie stream to the server it will simply cease .
