Hey guys! I will be trying to upload more tutorials that are longer like this. These take a long time to make so please enjoy! This tutorial of Porter is based on his Nurture style. There is still some remnants of his style from his Worlds Album as well.

Man, this was one of the best tutorials i've seen so huge respect and thanks for you, this helped me a ton with my recent project. The feedback i'd like to give you is that you should've gone more in depth about how you used your tracks plugins and made your synths. If you added a section like that to the end of the video this would've been CRAZY good, i would have recommended this to everyone ngl. Still, great job with the format. Fast paced editing and useful info, just how i like it. Cheers!

What SQ8L preset did you use for the something comforting vocal lead?

I figured it out! Initialize a default preset on SQ8L, any INIT preset you see. Set the waveform for Oscillator 1 to "Voice 3" click the teal button that says "Modes" and add a tiny bit of glide, 2 or 3. And boom, voice synth,

Make sure the velocity on the piano notes are at max. Then just distortion and lots of reverb.

Add some vocal atmosphere samples, reverbed plucks, and then i just added an ARP. They are all on the notes of the key of the song.

@@shadytoast5565 its an arp preset from the OVERSAMPLED - Portify pack. It's called ARP - sea of voices II. It could be made similarly in Serum and it uses a SawRounded wave and triangle wave and the cut off is automated.
