Louisiana evergreen shallots. Those are my latest onions in the garden. I’m into perennial dividing onions for green onions (walking) and now the shallots give bulbs and more green onions. In summer I’m a bit worn out with the heat to do much more in the garden.
I did from sets this last year and they didn't get big. I learned starting seeds in the fall like with garlic is the way to get big ones. Definitely going to start seeds soon.

@@GrowSomethingTasty I haven't seen vermiculite in stores for a couple years but perlite is plentiful. It has changed the way I start seeds for sure. So light it moves out of the way with ease
