@CaliforniaTravelVideos
@CaliforniaTravelVideos 2 года назад
Good one Walt. Here were my notes: 0. Have a TECHNIQUE that is good when you are STUPID, and you have to be SMOOTH on the TRIGGER. 1. Focus EYE ON TARGET, move handgun in position of eyesight on target 2. Grip: Hold high on grip with ZERO GAP on ducktail. Maintain a strong, tight DEATHGRIP with dominant hand. On support hand, grip as much as you can on handgun. 3. Wrist: FIRMLY LOCKED, don't allow pivoting wrist during recoil 4. Arm/Shoulder: YUP, FIRMLY LOCKED/TIGHTEN MUSCLES all the way through so you are RIGID and IMMOBILE!!! (but don't completely lock elbows) 5. TRIGGER PULL is more important than sight alignment on handgun! Don't completely release between shots (give too much "air") 6. Accept your wobble, fire when your sight is on target. 7. When moving left/right to different target, change sight with your eyes and pivot with your KNEES. Do not pause between targets - keep shooting at your firing tempo and start moving ASAP once you've pulled the trigger -don't wait for your trigger finger to recover.

Incredible video. The exercise of bumping the unloaded pistol to see how much you noodle is so eye opening.

If you’re going to do an interview, clear the range or do the talking away from the range. It’s Jerry. We want to hear everything.

@@edwardbennett6479 Jerry would feel uncomfortable if there wasn't gun fire in the background. lol He probably goes to sleep to IPSC audio files.

I have seen so many videos saying that the gun should be in line with your right arm . . . this video blew my mind. The thumb doing nothing is also incredibly useful knowledge.

It's great seeing "The Trick Shooters" & "The Quick Shooter" together in one video! I love BOTH your channels.... Now off to watch Jerry's new video, which I got a notification for during this one.... That's the way life goes sometimes.

After years of following Jerry "The King", it still amazing to me how "down to earth" this Rock Star of the shooting world is. Speaks a lot of his humility and grace. And so for his wonderful family. Thank you guys for arranging this interview (next time block the entire range to hear your guests better; run a rollcall for donations, I'll pitch in).

Accepting the "WOBBLE" is the phrase that help me improve my pistol shooting in the Marine Corps. It was amazing when I started shooting competetion and with one hand. My hard part was transitioning to combat style shooting. I had to turn the target around to the Blank Side and focus on GROUPS vice SCORING RINGS. I always learn something when I watch Jerry's video!!!! National Treasure!! Semper Fidelas

Comment below the biggest takeaway that you got from this video and/or your favorite line from Jerry. JERRY’s RU-vid CHANNEL 👉👉👉 bit.ly/JerryMiculekYT Yes, we realize that the shooting in the background is not ideal. We had planned to shoot this video outside at Jerry's range but it was raining. We got ahold of this range on short notice and they agreed to give us a range to shoot on at no cost. We wish there wasn't shooting in the background but we didn't feel good about asking them to shut down their whole range. Thanks for watching! Steve & Aaron

Even as a non-competitive pistol shooter these get-better-quick tips from a great champion are immensely helpful. It is also helpful to see his methods stated as short hints that anyone can follow. Many thanks to Jerry and to the helpful hints he leaves for others to try, and to the channel that provides us with such useful info.

"I do not aim with my arm. He who aims with his arm has forgotten the face of his father. I aim with my eye." Heh. The moment Jerry started talking about aiming with his eye, while not having the gun aligned with his arm... I could just *hear* the Gunslinger's Creed.
