Appears to be missing: Vinci / Super Vinci, Fabarm L4S Sporting. I bet you would love the L4S Sporting. Coveting: difficult to say as it was hard to see everything you had there, but if you still have them the wood Cynergy or Montefeltro... but as shown, the Ethos Cordoba. Yes, involve Courtney. And, look at all that lovely ammo! Thanks for this. Just awesome to be able to dedicate your work to shooting. God is good. It would be great to get feedback on your experience with reliability and parts breakage of all the different guns you used. Problem areas, things to watch out for, spares parts for a given system that should be kept on hand, etc.
What a great story! I liked all of it and loved seeing all of your guns (well, the ones you are letting us see!), but honestly what I liked the most was when you showed us your collectibles and shared those stories. I could tell that some of those had a special place in your heart as well. You know, it was seeing you on that Dude Perfect episode that introduced me to The Gould Brothers - I had to know more about those two guys!! I have so much enjoyed following you and Aaron. Keep up the good work! Blessings to you.
Trick shot with the M1. I was on staff at a camp in Iowa where you did a show 9 years ago. Love seeing your progress! Would be fun to see you speed shoot with a rifle with a rolling block action.
I also met Tom Knapp. It was at the 2007 annual NRA meeting in St. Louis. I went to Busch Wildlife and seen him shoot later that year and he signed the picture for me. Great guy that also inspired me but I never took it to your level of shooting. I practiced all summer hand throwing clays and flipping charcoal briquettes off my forend. The best I could do was 6 hand thrown clays because I didn't have a longer tube on my gun. Good times. If I could have any gun it would be the Ethos. That is a great looking gun that I would love to hunt with.
Love these videos..I study every night after work...dont have alot places too practice which disappoints me..but the.learning from the videos keeps me going
Tom Knapp also inspired me to start exhibition shooting back in 2008. I bought a Stoeger M2000 Satin walnut semi-auto, a couple cases of 12 GA and started practicing. I was picking up on it pretty well or so my friends thought. Back then I was in my early 20's I didn't make that much so I had to put it aside temporarily. Then in 2014 I lost my job and got sick and had to sell my Stoeger to help pay the bills. I put over 2,000 rounds through that M2000 it and it ran like a clock. I miss that gun and wish I could've kept it. After watching this I think to myself, what if I could've stuck with it? Maybe its not too late?
I bought my ever first shotgun 5 yrs ago. A Remington 870 Express. Got into shooting clay with buddies and I love shooting them. Got into reloading for that gun a few yrs ago. I reloading everything but my passion is in buckshot and slugs. I love shooting slugs. For being in Minnesota I would like to try to hunt deer with shotgun. I am in a rifle zone so I haven't thought about it until now....
Love your videos Steve. Growing up in central Minnesota I got the chance to meet and watch Tom Knapp several times.have a few signed hats from him. I saved for two years while in high school to be able to buy a super black eagle 2 that I have to this day that as been an duck hunts with me all over the Midwest.
My first shogun was the westernfield, which is a mossberg 500 just made for Montgomery ward's. I'm sure you are to young to know that place, was given to me as a Xmas gift when I was about age 12 for hunting and this is nothing more then a 30in full choke barrel. I uses that gun for everything from squirrel to deer and when the gun went up the food went down. Like you I still have that gun fully operational, I have lost my parents but I'm sure God is watching. Never change always stay grounded and remember that you are lucky to have made it, try as we might some of us are not so lucky.
I would say you need more vintage firearms like an original Winchester 1897, some military surplus to go with the m1 And some actual original lever actions, the smoothness and feel of rifles like an original Winchester 92 are way above what any company makes today. I have a couple of original 1892s in 44/40 and they are my go to center fire guns because they have a fit, finish and feel that can’t be beat
My favorite from your collection is the 45/70 color case hardened lever action. The one I would suggest to add is a CZ 457 premium in .22LR can't beat it for the price, the accuracy and the styling.
The 870 Express was the first of way too many shotguns ive bought. Shotguns are an addiction for a wingshooter. I'm on a quest to collect as many as I can that are top quality.
Steve that is awesome. Your are doing great! Thanks for all your content. One gun that I would love to have would be that Benelli 828u. I love Benelli. Also 8/28 is my wife’s birthday. Thanks again.
The first Geese I shot were with an older fixed choked barrel Remington 870 Wingmaster, the Express’s cycled super rough for me, but the Wingmaster was super smooth would love to see a review on the new ones to see if they’re still nice. Browning BPS, review would be awesome as well, for Semi reviews the Remington 11-87 was a workhorse in its day
I have one recommendation and it’s only cause I use this gun for my trap shooting but it’s the Browning citori Universal High Post! Amazing gun and probably one of my favorites!
Thanks for showing us your gun room. I enjoyed hearing the stories behind your favorites. Glad to see the CVA scout .410. I am a huge fan of CVA Scouts. I have a scout pistol in 300 blackout to hunt deer here in Illinois. I also have scout rifles in 444 Marlin and 45-70 since next year we will finally be able to use single shot rifles to hunt deer. CVA scouts are accurate, strong, and have some great triggers. Keep making the great videos!
Remington 1100 s are my cup of tea love everything about them I wish I had two full sets of them for my two boys I won’t ever have a big bunch of money but would have a very nice set of shot guns for them to have I have 2 12s an 1 20 so far but they are like new an I can’t find anymore that suit me lol I’m very picky when it comes to them guns
My dad bought Rem 1100 in 1976 . He used it in Trap / Skeet Comps from late 70s to early 90s . He gave me that 1100 20 years ago . I've used it for 10 years straight . Never really had any issues . It's been a work horse for sure
i love love love my sx3 ultimate sporting in walnut, fits me so good, i have guns up to 12k in price range, but my sx3 is my go to gun, skeet trap sporting it doesn't matter, great to see you have one
Amazing video. I can tell how blessed and humbled you feel. Thanks for sharing this great tour of your incredible personal collection. My fav shotgun is my Browning. 725 Citori 30” 12ga Sporting I got from Reeds during last year’s Fall fest.
My first shotgun was a Benelli Super Nova. After that I've about a dozen different brands and models. My cheapest new shotgun was the 870 Express. Bought it at Dick's sporting goods on sale for $259. Came with an 18" barrel and a 28" one. Screaming deal!
Thanks for sharing your collection and story Steve! You're an inspiration. My first shotgun was a Stevens 20ga model 58:) I shot many doves with that gun before it was retired. If I could have any of your guns it would be a SBE3 12ga:) I don't shoot my Benelli Vinci great and my new A300 Ultima is TBD (haven't shot it since getting it back from factory w/ trigger reset issues). Hoping you make it out to the Pacific Northwest for a show sometime...
Cute doggo. I met a dog of the same breed in a gun store of about the same age, 6 weeks? The puppy started chewing on my shoe in the store and wanted to play in the store, so I played with the puppy in the store.
How old when you when you started shooting did a family member start you on your journey or a friend you’ve a fair collection there you evolve over time we all develop our shooting and ideas of guns it’s nice to see some of your collection.
Great video Steve! My first was also the M500 in 20 gauge. One of my favorites, now, for swinging on quail is the SX3 in 20. Keep up the great work; I love watching TFL for the instruction and reviews.
Growing up I used to go duck and goose hunting with my dad. I got used to shooting a featherweight 12 gauge pump. On the odd occasion I got to shoot dads Beretta semi auto. It got sold when he passed away, sure miss the two of them. Good memories Surprised you don’t have any Berettas in your collection
This video should be shown as a PSA to any crims planning on breaking into this guys house. They'd just hear a voice in the dark, "which eye?" "huh?" "which eye do you want me to shoot through?"
I started out with a Remington 700 in .308 had to sell it when I was young to pay for car repairs. Id love to have another since all of my rifles currently are AR’s.
I don’t see an AR platform shotgun they are incredibly fun and you can get magazines to hold more than you can on a long gun hope to see you show one sometime
I didn't see a side by side to compare old school vs technology. I would live to have the gray and blue SX4 with the TFL logos and magazine tube. Or the Ethos Cordoba.
My first purchased shotgun was a Mossberg 500,with a polychoke. I then switched to a rem 1100. I didn't see any in collection,I think your missing out. What do you think of the versmax?
Much respect what you and your brother do. It’s pretty sweet. Cool to see your “little” collection of firearms. Seeing that signed hat from Tom Knapp is really sweet. I can remember watching him when I was a lot younger on espn and other channels doing his trick shots. Glad to see you give much respects to the legends of shooting sports and recognizing them. Including Jerry. If it wasn’t for those guys, most people wouldn’t know the shooting sports we have today. Hope you and your brother keep on doing your thing. Really enjoy the videos. Hope to see you guys one day at an event. 🤘
I loved watching Tom when I was younger. I think on Guns and Ammo TV. Back when people didn't have a panic attack seeing a real gun on TV. I better shut up before I even get started. 😆
I would really like to see a 1940s-50s JC Higgins model 20 in 12 gauge.. every shotgun collection needs a few of those.. and a Marlin model 1936 in 30-30
Just recently found your channels on RU-vid! Awesome content! I think I’ve seen every video on TFL in the past two weeks lol love the history on the gun room. Looking for a 28ga in the ethos as we speak! Please keep posing the videos, love them. Hope to run into you someday at a shooting event. Merry Christmas! Hope you and yours had a great day! I think you need a Winchester model 42 in that collection 😎
I was waiting for you to pull out a Winchester Super X Model 1, it was the Model 12 of it’s day. I have a full house Win. Model 1 built by Nu-Line Guns. I don’t know if they are still in business any longer. But it’s great!
Im joining a club soon and they offer trap and skeet and in interested in trying it. I got a cheap rock island 12 gauge all gen. Should I start off using the rock island for now to see if i could be invested in the sport or should I invest in a "higher" end shotgun? I have a budget of like 800 right now. Any reccomendations are welcome!
Another great video Steve, a low grade Beretta s/s was my first gun, an A5 Browning was my second which I shot all things feather and fur with until the great gun buy back down here in Australia when they took our semi autos off us. I am for evermore an A5 fan so lets see you give the old model a good work out. I now shoot a Winchester 101 and a Remington 1100 in 20 gauge.Any chance of you coming down under to do some shows.
You should get an sks. If you dont like the setup you can always put a fab defense stock and use a mag without modifying the original steel of the gun as far as the mag release.
If I was to show up at your house I'd be bringing my Winchester Defender and we'd be shooting targets or whatever and grilling some food!!! Good times👍
Appears your missing the Remington Versa Max. I have 3. They all function flawlessly. Main one is weighted and cycles 3/4 oz 12 g. Great for recoil reduction.
