Mill Castle Trail looks like such a hiden gem! The rock formations are really unique, and the whole area between Gunnison and Crested Butte is just stunning. Beaver Ponds seems like a great spot too - definently adding these hikes to my list if I'm ever get to visit Colorado. Thanks for sharing! What a lovely video 😍

Your photography is excellent per usual! 👌 I'd have a hard time choosing with just 3 days in Glacier. I've been six times, and hiked 72 miles over seven days in 2022 --including two summits-- and still have multiple bucket listers I've yet to check off (Gunsight Pass is near the top of my list). You'd need two weeks minimum to see and experience every incredible hike this park has to offer. I've been to Banff, Yosemite, Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Grand Canyon, North Cascades, Mt. Rainier, Sequoia, Smoky Mountains, etc. All are special. None can top Glacier. It will always be my number one! 😍

gotta put that reservation in the video for going to the sun road I drove up there from Denver not knowing you needed one only to find out you have to reserve 2 days in advance and you can't buy there

Great video, but you forgot one crucially important and pain in the ass aspect, timed entry vehicle reservations.

Nice, but isn't there a timed reservation for going on the sun?

Yeah for crowd control. But it opens up like 2 days before your intended arrival so you will be able to get in at your preferred time.

Thanks! And yes, just needs some planning ahead of time, and it's worth noting that it's only for certain hours of the day

This national park is beautiful but since it has unpredictable weather patterns , tricky accommodations and closing off some roads discourages me to explore it since have never done camping in the wild

Fair enough, the weather can definitely be tricky up here. Worth it though!

How early should I arrive at Logan? Pass? Are shorts appropriate for early morning hikes or is it cool in the morning? Leaving next week for Glacier...

It's so hard to say an exact time. When we did the highline trail, we parked at Logan Pass at like 415am and we were the first ones on the trail. I'd say before 8am you're probably good to find parking, but the earlier the better to be honest, plus you'll avoid the crowds. Also, I'm not an afternoon hiker, but I imagine the parking has open spots in the afternoon after the morning hikers have left. I wore shorts on the highline trail but it was during a heat wave. Check out mountain forecast for your hikes the night before, I hope this helps!

Ruined is a very strong word. Minor inconvenience. That hike is all about the destination! 🩵
