After taking, what seems like, a never-ending bus ride, I'm finally in Belgrade, Serbia.
Belgrade is the capital of Serbia and the former capital of Yugoslavia. A lot of what you can read online about Belgrade is probably not on a positive note and I'm not here to dispute all those travel reviews. But what I can show you is how I spent one day in Belgrade and see for yourself if this is something you want to experience yourself. The only thing you will not see in this video is the nightlife in Belgrade. I've heard it's incredible but sadly I'm just too old for that scene these days LOL!
Here are the places I visited in Belgrade:
0:00 Introduction
0:26 Bus ride from Sarajevo to Belgrade
0:45 Visegrad (Mehmed Paša Sokolović Bridge)
1:37 Stari Grad, Uzice
2:23 Welcome to Belgrade
2:39 Republic Square
2:53 National Museum of Serbia
3:02 Knez Mihailova Street
3:35 Kalemegdan Park
3:45 Monument of Gratitude to France
4:49 The Victor
5:01 Walk towards Saint Sava Church
6:16 Saint Sava Church
8:25 Trying to get inside government buildings in Belgrade
10:58 Hotel Moskva
11:10 Skadarlija Street (Bohemian part of Belgrade)
11:51 Sebilj Fountain in Belgrade
11:58 Monument of Stefan Nemanja in Belgrade
13:36 Walking along Sava River Promenade
There are walking tours you can do in Belgrade. This one comes highly recommended: gyg.me/oFBQU65M

✅ About Ryan Pelle
My name's Ryan, and welcome to my channel.
Instead of buying an expensive car or a Harley Davidson motorbike to get through my mid-life crisis, I started this channel instead 😂 As a newfound hobby, I'm documenting my walks/hikes and travels using the ever-reliable GoPro. The hope is that it encourages you - the audience - to explore the great outdoors and maybe give you some tips and ideas along the way.
I'm from the Philippines (in case you're wondering about the accent 😊) #pinoyyoutuber
I'm currently on a mission to visit all the countries in Europe.
Kitakits! (see you later!)

Underneath the old fortress (Stari grad, Uzice), there is a hydroelectric power plant built according to Tesla's principles. Second in the world. Built only 5 years after Niagara Falls

I went to Hungary, Bulgaria and Romania too. I went there with the tour. It's so beautiful. I was thinking to go to Scandinavia, Iceland and Finland. I'm still not sure. How about you? If you don't mind I ask. Are you retired? How come you so much time?

@@patw9256 will be probably be doing the Nordic and Scandinavian countries next summer. I work remotely so I can travel pretty much anywhere whilst working… as long as there’s decent internet :)

Ah really. The guard said it's the mayor's office but it makes more sense for it to be the president's house as it looks so impressive. I agree though, you can't just walked in at those government buildings. I was just chancing, see if I could :)

Funny you think entrance is allowed to high official government buildings just like that. If there is not a sign stating so with working hours and other details, there is no country in which it is possible.

Was just taking a punt see which ones would let me in. Completely understand though and also greatly appreciate the guards and the receptionists for humouring me :)
