I live in Puerto Vallarta and if anyone would like to do a day pass at a family resort, I would recommend Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort & Spa. It's about 5-10 minutes from the port.

When I was on the Panorama last June, we went across the street to Walmart. We got a lot of Mexican snacks to bring home and we went to the flea market. Although it was a long port day, it was extremely hot so we shopped and went back on the ship the rest of the day. Definitely will try a resort next time

Nice informative video. Can you get the day passes on the same day while you are there, or do you have to get them in advance? That pool...I feel you there. I guess I'm not young anymore for that. In addition, it looked too crowded and too many children in the pool for me. I would be sitting on the side just like Ron was 😂.

You can reserve it on Resort for A Day the day of, but you’ll need to have it printed. The resort did not sell day passes on site.

Best detailed review ever! Hopefully they will do something about the poolside food options. Everything looked great and fun. Very big place for sure. Your face = doing it for the vlog, but never again. LOL. JiJi’s is delicious. I had it alone on the Carnival Sunshine. And like you, love Asian foods. I mentioned in one of your lives I was going to RIU-PV on the inaugural Firenze. I did, and it was on April 28th. Your review was spot on!!!! The food near pool area was not good. Buffet was expansive and very good. We moved to swim up pool after a few hours on the beach. I thought of you and your short vid and some of the music, but still fun. They didn’t have the foam perhaps because it was Sunday. Drinks were excellent!!! Ubered with another solo cruiser, and it was about $18-$19 one way.

Glad to hear that you had a good time overall! It’s a beautiful resort but they definitely have some work to do on the food at Pepe’s 😆. Hope you had a wonderful time on Firenze! Can’t wait to get onboard in a couple of weeks! Thanks for sharing this!

@@MHFamilyAdventures I think you will love the Firenze. More food options compared to Venezia. Even though layout/ship are the same the Firenze was a step above I think!

Interesting. I wasn't impressed with Cucina either. I think I will try it one more time just to be sure. But definitely looking forward to trying JiJi's. 😋

My husband was given an undercooked pork chop. I’ve never been a big fan of it though. It’s ok. Not worth the upcharge in my opinion.

Ok, I used to have trouble pronouncing Puerto Vallarta too until my Spanish teacher got so frustrated she told me to say it this way: "POO-AIR-TA, VIE-YAR-TA." You can thank Senorita Jueves for that!! LOL. Um... your face was just like mine would have looked at that foam party!! OMG! But you "took one for the team" and did it, so I appreciate your effort!! Next time, let Ron do it while you take the shots. LOL. Great video; thx for sharing. I've heard that Puerta Vallarta is a great place!
