Hi Georgia - love your video, I'm planning an 8 day stay in Puglia currently in October (then heading to Sicily for 2 weeks). If you had your time in Puglia again, which towns would you stay over night in? ( I have 3 nights Polignano a/ Mare, 1 Lecce, 1 Ostuni, 1 Alberobello, 2 Matera - is that over kill? What do you think? Or would you do the same as what you did and do day trips from Polignano al Mare, 2 nights Matera?
Hello hello! Thanks for watching ✨ Okay, so I think this is going to come down to how much you like to pack up and be on the move. For example, I don't like repacking my suitcase so staying in one location was definitely preferable! But if you want to see more of the south like Lecce, it might make more sense to stay towards the middle around Martina Franca where as we stayed in Polignano a Mare because we weren't going any further then Locorotondo so the travel was minimal. Of course, the other thing to weigh up is getting to see those places without the day trippers so if that's important to you, then maybe it makes sense to pack up and be on the move? Matera we did choose to stay at because it was a 1 hour+ drive there and back. It also depends what you're in to - if it's swimming maybe you want to spend more time around the coast, if it's history maybe you want to spend more time in those locations... ah, so honestly really hard for me to give you advice on what to do but I hope these musing help inform your decision 🩵
@@georgiadoustthanks for taking the time to reply - planning for a month long trip is challenging- but watching your video really helped. Keep on doing what your doing. Cheers Deb
