A good tip here is preset your pokemon centre when doing a gym run. I usually like to set it at a gym that's quick to get to after you heal. But right before I do a gym that takes a bit to get to the leader. So when you teleport you'll avoid the time walking back. Of course this only works for 1 heal per run. But used correctly you can save like 3mins.

If you're in Kanto, might as well get the Cut Ocarina too. Two gyms you have to use cut just to get access to the place.

ye exactly, saving a spot in ur party for teleport can often mean 1 more poke ur EV training, for shiny hunting or xp training it matters much less :)

certain pokemon will fake out the torkoal and then it will live which obv rly hurts the battle, its been tried by a couple people, low level torkoal is best imo by far.

Yes! it really needs the extra damage, but he learns Eruption at level 82, so you could technically start then and just have a tough time at certain gyms!

@Johanstrasni another reason for it to be lvl 100 is to avoid having level up mid runs and making it slower

You can create good cyndaquils with breeder for cheaper than they've ever been since you can catch them in the wild now in johto and not in the safari zone. Buying level 100s is expensive because leveling takes time, but if your on a budget theres never been a better time to buy gym rerun mons. Also if you check for 25+ in sp.atk and speed VS 2x31 STILL with mild, modest or rash nature (all of these natures work), i see 2 at level 100 atm for 200k a piece. Overall the typhlosion/cyndaquill market is WAY cheaper than in this video. However i should absolutely remake this video at some point haha and do more with different money checkpoints.

because they are level 80 pokemon with full evs and items when doing gym rebattles, you need the damage from 31 sp.atk + specs + sp.atk nature. You simply need the damage. This strat is also the fastest and most consistent. The biggest damage checkpoint is mistys kingdra, as long as u can kill that with double eruption u should be good.

@@patrouski I understand all that, but if the damage checkpoint is purely based on a type advantage, you could easily have lvl 100 pokemon that aren't -4x against kingdra without them needing to be special, and if you take that spike out of the graph you could probably cover the rest of it with a cheaper main pokemon instead of buying 2 typhlosion.

But then its not as fast or less consistent or u have to swap pokemon between gyms which is gonna cost u time and make u less money, it costs around 600k for a FULL gym run team with double specs, you should be making MORE than that after 3 days/3 hours of gym runs. Its unbelievably worth it in every way.
