I knew what the jumper was for as soon as I saw it. My neutral safety switch is toast so I just connected the two wires without the jumper.

Been around tractors my whole life. Pilot bearing at end of motor crankshaft is the problem. Pressure plate might be stuck but i doubt it. Good luck

Pilot bearing was perfect.....the hydraulic/tractor fluid was so sticky on the friction disk it wouldn’t release....had a leak...watch the second video...thanks for commenting

Hey there , I’m from UK , I have a 1984 Ford 7610 , and it done the same thing! All I did to fix it was , there is a rod/bar connected to the clutch pedal and it has a threaded section , basically I spinned the female threaded bit down the thread going away from pedal, connected it up again and problem was solved! Only needed to do it once and no problem since! Apparently the rod/bar sort of stretches through time and has the adjuster to tighten it! It pulls on a lever which you can see at side of engine, when it stretches it can’t pull said lever far enough to disengage the clutch There’s nothing wrong with the clutch! 😊 sorry I’m late in seeing this! It’s literally a 5min job

My problem was the cooked and sticky tractor fluid from the trans seal leaking. It was like molasses on the clutch and flywheel.

Helps to take the fuel filters off before removing the starter
@AutomedicGarage

Not really, using the extension and swivel gets you way past the filters anyway. But thanks for leaving a smarta$$ comment.

No problem… must be because I replaced my starter with a front end loader bracket in place so access was tighter. BTW, interesting fact, 4610s were built in England. Mine has a cab and it always intrigues me to see how much simpler working on dry climate tractors that just have a canopy is! Although I guess the cab doesn’t have to be removed to split the tractor- something I’ve not had to do yet. It’s also nice to see your tractors don’t rust - much - compared to ours in damper climates. Like here in the UK. I’ve had my 4610 4WD for about ten years and I think it’s a great tractor - no electronics to go wrong! Thanks for the informative video.

I am splitting my Deutz Fahr 85. I got stuck with the Huydralic hoses. Especially those Hose to Metal pipes connections. Can't separate them although the bolts are off.

Clutch stuck on my 7600 tied clutch pedal down for a day or two went back and it had released worked fine ever since but I always tie clutch pedal down if I'm not going to use tractor for a few weeks.

This would release if you hammered the brake but soon as you let off would get stuck again. The cooked on tractor fluid was all over the clutch from the leaking input shaft seal causing it to stick. It was leaking oil in the bell housing causing the sticking. Tying the peddle down wouldn’t have fixed or changed my problem. Thanks for watching.

I’m sure you wish people would watch video before commenting. How many times did you tell people what the real problem was.

No explanation of why it wouldn’t release. “Sticky stuff on flywheel or Pressure plate makes no sense. So what was the problem? Adjustment?
@AutomedicGarage
@AutomedicGarage 2 года назад
The problem was the cooked on tractor fluid as I mentioned in the video. It was like molasses on the flywheel. The seal that I showed replacing on the input shaft of the transmission was the one leaking. Of course the clutch material was ruined from being impregnated with all the sticky oil so it had to be replaced. Thanks for watching.

Common ford 4610 issues. Most would have removed inspection plate and soaked it with wd40. Then never store tractor with clutch released.
@AutomedicGarage
@AutomedicGarage 2 года назад
Not a common 4610 issue or any tractor for that matter, it is common for the clutch to stick if the tractor sits but this tractor didn’t sit. The input shaft seal was the culprit, in the video I showed how sticky the flywheel was from the fluid getting cooked on the flywheel.

What was the cost of rebuilding the clutch vs buying new?
@AutomedicGarage
@AutomedicGarage Год назад
I can’t remember now except for that it was slightly cheaper but better quality than most the garbage made now

What about the pto clutch is it next to the rearend?
@AutomedicGarage

4610 has independent PTO, meaning when it’s engaged it’s engaged. There is no PTO clutch.
