Man I kinda miss construction sometimes just because of the construction worker attitude of piss off we all had, I kinda miss smoking weed in the work truck every time we got in the truck for break.
I’m retiring this year after forty years as a construction superintendent, I’ve always had a really nice truck,always kept clean. My work boots are always nice, I’ll wear them out in six months from all the walking. I always buy cheap sunglasses because they will get destroyed, cellphones too! I don’t drink monsters, but you’re right a lot of guys drink them like crazy, especially the concrete guys. First stop early each morning is the corner store, and lunchtime too. You’re spot on with that observation.
I know a tradesman that hangs out at a gas station always works 19 hour days…loves deals on gas station food…gets a $20 scratcher…n Fiiiiiivveeee on the diesel!
The white truck trash falling out could also be a Walmart employee who can’t afford to rent anywhere and parks (sleeps/lives) overnight in the store’s lot. It’s more common than you’d think.
I watched Fargo for the first time ever recently and man did my brain light up when she said “you betcha yeah” It was a weird feeling to say the least 😅
30yr construction worker here. My truck is clean, my boots aren’t duct taped but are multicolored from layout paint wars. I buy my safety/sun glasses in bulk on Amazon & high viz makes up roughly 98% of my wardrobe. (You could probably see my closet from space if the sun hits right) I wear long sleeves year round so from the neck up I look like a tanned raccoon most of the time. From the neck down, Casper’s got nothing on me. Most importantly tho, ANY flavor of Monster is pure piss water. Red Bull only!!
I used to drink Monsters a lot when I worked on an airport car rental lot back in 2015. I can confirm that the white can is best one and much like Miles, I never remember the actual name of it either.
Where I work on railroad construction this is all true. Except I’m the rare one that doesn’t drink monster I completely gave up energy drinks a few years ago, but I will slam coffee any chanceI get. Also I wear button up work shirts, used to wear tshirts but the old boys showed me the versatility of wearing the work shirts.

I started in 1988. I don't know what a white monster is. My 1992 Chevy did not have garbage and I only ate subway. Order two cold cut combo's on Monday and one every night after and you are good for the week for lunch and dinner. I have never known a gas station workers name even if their name was on their shirt. Gen X does not interact with other people unless forced.
Drink more than two cans a day, mixed with your ciggs and a crap food diet and you wonder why you feel like garbage. 👍Nothing a couple of bags and a bottle can't cure.
