In "How to spot a real senior in an interview?" I answer a programming question. A podcast version of the channel can be found here: anchor.fm/fredrik-christenson
Is funny how the person asking the question needs help on "how to ask a question to a dev to check if is senior" and he actually asked a really good question that it has been answered by a senior 😅. I mean his question its self is a real good question
A senior engineer is one who can complete a project with very little supervision or hand holding. Even if they don't know the technology well at the start of the project, they will find a way to learn it and figure out how to work with it, and by the time they complete the project, they'd be somewhat of an expert in that new technology. In addition, they know how to work within the business organization and negotiate their way to achieve the task at hand if it requires input from multiple functions of the business. They should be able to work alone and within a team.
I have seen sometimes writing business logic in stored procedure really helps performance if there is something like bulk upload, what should be the development approach in such scenarios.
Great!! Yeah because what you say makes a lot of sense to me but I don't really want to listen to those who quit their FAANG jobs to become youtubers. Appreciate the content!
@@marktiu8402 I know what you mean... the "why I quit my bajillion dollar job at [FANG]" click bait has become riddiculous - it all started with that idiot TechLead.
@@Dalamain Hahaha... Fredrik is the real deal... His projects are legit... I didn't understand Micro Services until I saw his actual projects. I also didn't get over my fear of learning the wrong stack until saw him working with a handful of technologies...
