Great video, but heres a few tips: Turn down volume of music, sometimes its extremely loud Stop that weird shaking noise, its like an earthquake and makes it extremely hard to hear Hope I helped you. :)
Shaking noise is most likely his camera's auto-focus. Just turn it off and do manual focus. Add cuts in the video if you take a long time to adjust focus manually.
Aufinator I can relate to this actually, back then when I was in middle school I had a legit Pokemon emerald, and I traded it for what I thought was a legit Pokemon pearl, I later found out it was fake, not to mention that my save file got corrupted. got bamboozled
I bought a Pokémon Yellow in the beginning believing the original games were cheap today. Then I got it in the mail, looked at it, and thought: "OH! IT'S NEW! UEGH!! IT FEELS SO FAKE! IT FEELS SO CHEAP! AND HELD TOGETHER BY TRIWING??" And then I opened it and laughed. Circuit board was half the size they should be. But... It works and saves, and I'd rather use that than my genuine one that I bought later.
Best way is to get a 3.8mm game cart screwdriver and open the cart. If the board is full size and has DMG in the corner it is real. If it has a board half the size of the cart and has black blobs anywhere it is fake. Fakers are producing labels with numbers punched (21,23) etc. so not a reliable way to check. I got an Atomic punk cart with "perfect label" and in a Nintendo Game Boy cart case, it looked really genuine. I opened it up and it was fake (black blobs)!
Little Miss Nintendo Fan Even I once was scammed, but thankfully only for a few dollars at a pawn shop. I go to this one frequently and know the owner and his wife, so a lot of times I can trade in unwanted GB and GBA games for store credit towards whatever used game(s) I want and his prices are more than reasonable for the items anyway. But one time I had bought a handful of GBA games and the Pokemon Leaf Green game turned out to be a fake. I, along with the store owner didn't know that it was a fake. And since I had kept it for a while and tried to play through it, I didn't find out until I couldn't go any further in the game weeks later. I then had both a GameStop employee and even a manager at a retro game store verify that it was definitely a fake. Although I would never knowingly try to sell a fake game to a store, I still showed the owner of the pawn shop just so he wouldn't have that happen so easily anymore.
All of the fake GameBoy carts I’ve seen with half-height boards also have shells with the screw hole moved up so it won’t go through the board. The screw should be close to the bottom on the back, with a dimple above it from the molding process. If your cart has a screw halfway or higher up the back of the cart, it’s fake.
Just some constructive advice, the editing could have been A LOT tighter. The parts where you got the ESRB logo info wrong, the times when you were looking up stuff on your phone, the part where you were looking for the stamped number on Yellow, and a lot more stuff could have been entirely cut out. @@-darktrack-8095 It's the latter, Japanese Pokémon games are not recognized by the US version of Pokémon Stadium 2, the same happens with Pokémon Stadium 1, still, you have a piece of collection in your hands so you should be happy :)

The company Gamefreak were a third party developer for the Pokemon company, so Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow never officially received it's seal if approval. but technically they are the ONLY bootleg company we, and even Nintendo supported.
I just found someone selling an original Pokemon Fire Red for GB Color for $25 everyone else is selling for at least $50. Thanks to this video I was able to verify that it was a real cartridge, I'm not sure if the battery works or not but I'm going to check it out either way might as well
With the help of this video I have managed to find myself what seems to be a genuine copy of Pokémon blue with the box. It hasn’t arrived yet but I will check in with you when it arrives ^-^
I have a real pokemon Yellow Japanese release and another Pokemon Yellow US release but the US doesnt have stamp as far as i can tell but it is very aged and doubt its fake. The sticker is damaged and is possible the number just isnt visible anymore
Best and most reliable way I've seen to check is to get a 3.8 mm screwdriver(always bring these with you if you're going to buy a GameBoy game) and open the games up and look up what the actual board looks like(unless you see something immediately stupid like a big black blob in it, Nintendo never did that, with very few exceptions, like maybe 5 games, and the games that they did do it in were very well done and weren't sloppy if you get my meaning, or if the save battery wasn't soldered in a nice looking way, unless they specifically tell you that the battery was changed in it, or if the size of it is small), if a store/seller doesn't let you open the cart because of some dumb reason like the quality/worth of it going down, just don't buy it, also if a cart doesn't use a 3.8 mm screw or it's not in the right spot(in the middle instead of at the bottom where it should be), it's fake, another thing I wanted to add is that scammers are starting to punch in numbers on the label so it's not a reliable way to check now unfortunately, also if it looks too good to be true, it is 99% of the time, trust me, beware, there are some really good fakes out there.
My local retro shop here in the UK had Pokemon gold. I know the guy very well. I bought Gold and it has DMG-AAUE-USA. Should be EUR at the end correct? Also the save was deleted as soon as I turned it on. Im guessing Amazon is my only hope now? I had Yellow, Gold, Silver and Crystal as a teen but didn't think I'd keep them then.

from my personal research, the imprint number is always a sign of authentication. The number itself, iirc, is said to be irrelevant. As long as the cart has an imprinted number, its probably legit.
Hate to tell you but I’m like 99.9% sure the Metroid is the fake one..look closer at the re-pro sticker it’s clearly not an original. Could just be a replacement sticker as well.
My green cart is in english and has GAME instead of nintendo Gameboy. It also has pokemon red's serial code: DMG-APAE-USA. green's code is unknown at the time, i will edit when i find it out.
Still cant tell if my pokemon red is real halfway through the video the background music got turned to max and i have no idea what it should say on charizard, mine shows 00
@@TheASMRMedic I recommend using subtitles along with listening, subtitles sometimes says something else when he says pokemon red. I would also recommend using the correct screwdriver to check if its real from the inside but he did say 00 should be on red if its real. Mines European so the esrb rating doesn't help but that's all
Also if you want to know the details to an European version of the game differences, for one it has the seal of approval rather than the esrb rating. Says the whole made in Japan and this side out but also in French (least the one I compared mine to, I assume it might be in other languages to depending on the country). The serial thingy is dmg-apau-eur
I recommend opening it up rather than assuming what you see in the front and back is because the fake bois keep improving overtime and im js adding made in Japan in the back with gameboy in the front isnt hard and you can always print out a sticker, plenty of people do that part to replace the older sticker with a newly printed one to make it look nicer
I have a game of Pokemon yellow and it is a darker color but everything else is spot on does it mean it's fake because I got it at a yard sale and it was sitting in the sun for long time

My pokemon blue i bought from my local 2nd and Charles has - The spraypaint ESRB rating sticker 00 instead of 20 no 1 at the end of the serial code (Serial code reads as DMG-APEE-USA) Im trying to find the cause of some glitches that occur while i play Blue, such as it automatically turning off. This GBC hasn't been used in a decade or two tho, so it may just be that or the fact that ive been using a GameGenie on it. I also have The Legend Of Zelda: Links Awakening DX and it seems to work fine. Any help?

Hey! Hi have Pokemon Red but the number is on the wing rather than the red part or the back. Mine says 22 and I’m a bit worried if it’s fake. The screw on the back is on the right side and it says made in Japan
My Pokémon Blue catridge has that wierd all white ESRB rating like your Red catridge and the 00 mark. Does it mean it's fake or an early copy. Everything else is spot on. My Silver catridge is missing a ESRB rating and has no "GC" branding like yours, it's a European copy though.
Human Interaction but some knock offs are really really good so if you do have a knock off that plays just like the original and you just want to play the original you can keep the knock off version but if you want the original I suggest the original just to have that level of having it
Same! I got mine at 2nd & Charles and my Blue copy has many of the things the Red copy has. Im looking into it, if you still need help i can inform you on what i find.
Idk really now you should check this by the code on the left side of cardrige typing it in google and going into graphic section if the game on photos is in other color then its fake

My pokemon red game has a Black "E" rating and on the back it says Made in japan pat peno and obove the nintendo logo it has 11 if you can see it. So is my game real?
I have a red Pokémon from Spain and it doesn’t have the ersb sticker but it does have the 22 on top of the Nintendo logo, so maybe European versions will be different
They usually are worse in quality, being made by a company that didn't make the original game. They tend to be glitchy and almost unusable, which is why I am freaking out thinking i might have gotten a fake copy because of the glitches that keep happening while i play.
