I feel like a lot of people say this, but it seems to always get interpreted as "this is some massive game breaking addition" as opposed to it actually being "this was hard as fuck to do, but here you go finally." Cause you have to understand, even though it's an exotic, each weapon has a limitation to it's memory (reason why masterworked guns no longer spawn orbs and were replaced with Origin Traits). And adding a completely new function within that limitation has it's own difficulties. Not to mention Monte having multiple ornaments so that means different animations to match the length of the bayonet on each one so that it doesn't look janky. The glaive animation is different because of the way each weapon is held so it's not a 1-to-1 overlap of the base stab. Might not be a big deal, and in reality it's just "another catalyst" but I just like to appreciate the hard work that went into the process!
