Who write for your blog? Do you write alone? Or Do you hire a ghostwriter? What is your recommended site to find ghostwriter? Please don't tell me Fiverr or Upwork..lol😫
Love love love this video! Super helpful and specific. I had 1 question in regards to your recommendation about only focusing on writing blog posts and getting them on pinterest, does that not include trying to make money by ads, affiliate marketing etc.?
Too many people try reading their newspaper clippings way too early on. Mentally, you have to start off treating your blog as if it were a million dollar blog already. You aren't writing a blog that currently makes no money. You are creating a million dollar blog. Like a house, you don't come back to the site the day after the slab is poured and expect to see a finished house. You don't cancel the contractors and ship back the supplies cause the house isn't done on day 2, 5, or 30. You understand your house will be there in due time. Same with the blog. Don't even think about the money for the first 6 months to a year, and even then...start thinking about what WILL produce the real money the next year or two after. Bottom line, it takes time and patience. If you are willing to accept that, and keep doing the work, it will happen.
I started a blog last year and gave up when we had a crazy financial burden. We are still struggling, but I I know its only temporary. I used 36 dollars to try again with Bluehost and will buy an affordable but classy theme. Sending positive vibes to everyone. I have wanted to blog and vlog for over 10 years, but self-doubt and comparisons got in the way. No more excuses, no more regrets. We got this!
I really love the advice when people say, "just start, dude. NOBODY'S reading what you're doing anyway." 😆 It's so reassuring, so I'm just puttin' stuff out there!
I tried to start a blog in 2015 and I so wish I persevered and stuck with it! I'm willing to give it another go. Thank you so much for your helpful tips.
Absolutely love your videos! I would like to see if you could do a video on how you write the actual blogs like what kinds of things do you write in it? How do you insert your hyperlinks just on the structure of the blog and some things you should consider when you're writing it should be short and sweet or how do you personalize it if you need to sound more personal, could you give us examples of how you would write the blogs and would you lay them out within the webpage?
I totally agree when you said that you should "get your eggs in different baskets"!! I think a common misconception when making blogs is that it has you have to focus all your content on only a single platform. People shouldn't be afraid to test out different platforms!
Thank you! You are amazing! I appreciate your repetition, it’s definitely not redundant! Keep it in your training arsenal, it warns the participants of the importance of your idea! I’ll be looking into your other videos! Again thank you!
5 months into my blogging journey! I definitley agree with being mindful of how many social media platforms you take on in the beginning. Instagram is kinda stressing me out right now haha Gonna scale back to just blogging, pinterest and TikTok. Thanks for these videos! So helpful and motivating!
This gave me so much information! I really appreciate it! It was the perfect mixture of telling your story while still giving us action steps. I'm going to invest in one of your courses one day!
Sophia this is an excellent guide. Congratulations to you on your awesome success. Blogging is not particularly easy in the beginning but if you're willing to fill out the uncomfortable emotions you can and will succeed guys. Thanks for sharing with us. Ryan
Thank you. I just watched a few of your videos and it was so informative! I like your style and explanations. I feel like I can actually do this now…I’m going to start a blog right NOW. 🙏🏽 🌸
Sophia, I appreciate this so much! Honestly, I have been wanting to use word press and then I stop myself because I have no clue how to design anything in the limited time I have. I am trying really hard to build and every time I get I go to do it I stop myself because I am lost. You are so helpful with direction and being relatable with your experiences and starting out. I would like to learn more from you and honestly being a stay at home mom in this time has been a huge struggle, so I am determined to figure this all out :). Keep posting RU-vid videos and I wish you all the more success in your near future :).
Love your honesty! I started a blog in college too (Roll Tide) but that was 2009! I was never really consistent until now! Your videos helped me realize how important consistency is 👏👏
Love love your courses BTW!!! I highly recommend anyone to do it if you are on the fence about it. This is our year babes!! P.S. Sophia I’d love to see more videos about your design biz.
Hi Sophia. To start, I trust you; It’s simply so apparent that I should. Trust like you were my daughter Trust…that kind. And there’s so much NOT to trust on RU-vid! Beyond this point, I also intend to pattern what I do as you’ve prescribed. I really warmed up to tips such as the importance of tying your blog to Pinterest. I don’t claim to know WHY, but it rings clear and true. TikTok…I am sore afraid, but…I get it. ALSO, I think there was tip RE a really affordable company to host your website-where you OWN the content on your site; pretty sure you covered this. So, thank you! I hope I can afford to take your course. Mark PS Back to the daughter reference, were you my daughter…I would be broadcasting to the world how proud I was of you! Great work. Sophia!
Thank you so much for sharing all of your tips and tricks! You are seriously such an inspiration. I am currently trying to start my own blog, and it is harder than I thought it would be to juggle school, work and starting a blog . I am so grateful for your content, and everything that you share!
You could say I started my blog in 2022 but really I started almost a year ago while carrying two full-time jobs and a 3rd degree for the my field, just getting everything up and running (website, logo, content etc.) and I can tell you from following your recommendations it has helped this girl from the a little island out in the pacific GET IT!. Just going over your emails about tips on blogging and what not to do, I can say I have done two of the three things that new bloggers have made, focusing on too many things because I'm so excited and talking about unrelated things but I am at a point where I'm fine tuning my blog post and deciding on adding ads to my side bar. Not a web designer but I use to code..lol who would of known my degree in computers would help..two different worlds. My college days are gone but do pick up other points from your website on layouts and other things. Keep sending those tips and hope to hop in on your Pinterest course soon because if anything, I'll need be ready to build my traffic. Aloha from Hawaii..
1. Can you make a separate tutorial video on how to write on your blog , what font you use to make it look professional. Or 2. Do a video on where to find ghostwriters to write for your blog. 3. Research on a blog niche ideas Thank you!
Thank you for this video.I’m interested in blogging and this is the first video that I’ve watched and I’m glad I did. Super helpful and straight to point
Originally I started with blue host like you suggested, but I was really struggling how to even use it. I watched several videos on how to, but it wasn't really clicking. I switched to wix due to it just being more direct approach in functionality. I'm just starting out so I know there is a learning curve. When you say you own your space vs renting, in what ways does that benefit you? Im a point where switching back wouldn't necessarily be a huge pain like it would later on.
I created my blog a few days ago because your videos really inspired me, but I'm actually feeling really lost on how to get started. I plan on buying your courses next month because I believe they will truly help me to start the right way and not waste any time, I can't wait to start this new journey!!
It’s honestly sooo confusing. I still can’t get it together and it’s been since 2019 that I’ve opened it up. Courses are so important to cut the time of learning it yourself but even then, you really have to be dedicated and invest time in getting in the zone of making content.
I started a RU-vid channel, I just created a recipe and eventually I know I need a website for marketing. I’m working on growing my farm and making it an income source so would it be better to have a separate site for blogs and one for marketing the farm? I am no good with technology so this is all so overwhelming. Thank you for this info it’s really helpful!
Sophia you are such an inspiration!! Thank you for being radically honest and giving tips that are actually very helpful. I've been binging your content and plan on building a blog this year. Cheers to 2022!! Let's get this bread!
One of my favorite video series, please keep them coming. You're such an inspiration to a lot of people. I'm in the middle of starting and re-starting my blog / social media presence. My biggest downfall is consistency but hopefully now that my little one is in school I'll have more time!! Thank you again love love love your blog and videos - they truly motivate me.
PS I love your vids and blogs! I’m super inspired and driven bc of your videos! I swear I’ve been wanting to give up buuuut consistency is key! Being faithful in the process :)
Great video and great content! Thank you for sharing! Question: Do you have a recommendation for marketing a blog targeted towards a male audience? Most guys that I know do not frequent Pinterest nearly as often as women.
Really helpful video, thanks for sharing! I am looking to start a blog to help promote some of the products I sell through another site and ebay. The theme for my blog is about my journey I am going on to improve within my niche topic. My question is should I use a separate blog with a different name to my main "product selling" site as I don't want selling products to be the focus but how others can learn abd get help from the things I do and learn on my own journey of improvement?
Great video Sophia) Thank you for ideas and helpful links) I agree that planning - is very huge power. Especially if you want to achieve better results)
Sophia, Thank you so much. What is the main issue with not owning the website? The sponsors? Google? Wondering if this will be a concern for my podcast website.
