This is exactly what I needed. I applied to so many leading consultant positions 2 days ago and I haven’t heard back from anyone yet and I wasn’t sure if I should call or if it was a thing where they call you so thanks for this!

I have been a Leasing Agent since 2016 in NY and have recently moved to SC. I have applied to MANY Leasing Agent positions here in SC and have been turned down and even told that they try to focus on hiring only women for their Leasing Agent positions. Have you heard of this before and if so do you have any suggestions on what I can or should do about this? I'm just tired of being passed over bc I'm a man when I can do the job just as well as anyone else. I know it's discrimination but I'm wondering, have you heard of this happening for Leasing Agent positions?

I haven’t heard anyone admit to it. I would just try to be as friendly and bubbly as possible, they often want there leasing agents to be extremely friendly, they view that position as the face of the office. Hope this helps!
