Great info. I think model #1 deff is suited for me. I would prefer commercial clients especially doctor offices, but i guess my question would be how to put yourself out there for a commercial client side hustle? I'm sure they would rather pay a company to do this.

How much should you charge per hour for residential cleaning? Or is it per job? How do you give a potential client a quote? I know you mentioned $55/hr in the video, but is this realistic to expect middle-class suburbia families to pay for cleaning? Also how do you communicate to clients when/if you decide to increase the rates, so as not to lose their business? Thanks
@TheProfessionalCleaner
@TheProfessionalCleaner 9 месяцев назад
All depends on your market. So call around and see what others are charging, then factor in your experience level. I always use my hourly as a basis for my bid, but sometimes I give them the whole amount vs telling them my hourly rate. This, and how to increase rates, is all covered in my program. :-) courses.theprofessionalcleaner.net/products/cba

Do we need a permit to do a cleaning job in a commercial business if its just a side hustle?
@TheProfessionalCleaner
@TheProfessionalCleaner 9 месяцев назад
You'd need to ask your local government since this varies so much from place to place. Google Business permit or business license in your city or county and you should find some numbers to call. :-)

Is it realistic that people will pay $40-$100 per hour to a new company with no reviews? Quite a few of the cleaning gurus on youtube suggest paying cleaners a good wage and then charging clients double. I find it very hard to believe that anyone would pay a new business that much initially. I’m based in the uk. So I guess a good wage to pay cleaners would be £15 per hour, I don’t know if clients would be willing to pay £30 for cleaning. Although obviously if they were, it would be great!

Depends on 1) your market, and 2) how well you can solve problems for clients, and 3) how well you can communicate value to clients. But I have brand new students charging everywhere in that range. And I don't recommend anyone start lower than $35-$40 an hour in 2024. 👍 And what do reviews do? They build trust. So no reviews = build trust another way. IE get in front of prospects and tell them why they should hire you. 😀 As for you being in the UK, we have students in our program in the UK. And trust me, there are high paying clients everywhere, you just need to target them. There are always cheap / price driven clients, and there are always value driven clients. Look for the latter ones. :-). PS I pay cleaners on average 40-50%.

How much is your course ?
@TheProfessionalCleaner
@TheProfessionalCleaner 9 месяцев назад
Currently $197. I'm working on version 3 now and will then be moving to an application / sales call process to gain access. And I'll likely start that course over $1K. But if you buy at $197 you'll get grandfathered in too all future updates. My husband and I are totally committed to being *the* premier option. :-) courses.theprofessionalcleaner.net/products/cba

But if you tell them it’s hourly they think you’re taking longer to get the hourly pay more

Totally depends on the client. Some view that as a sign of you being the best, and appreciate the transparency. Others will prefer to know the total only. So it's about sizing up each client. :-)

So one glaring problem of this math is this is GROSS income. You net far less than this. Withholding taxes, supplies, insurance, and other ovehead costs drastically impact this number. Your $2300 income could realistically turn into $1500 a month of actual profit. Don't get me wrong that number is still great as a side hustle, but we need to remain realistic in what NET profits will actually be.
@TheProfessionalCleaner
@TheProfessionalCleaner 9 месяцев назад
You are correct this is gross income, but one thing I teach my students is how to run a very 'lean' cleaning business. General liability on average is only between $40 to $100 a month for a 2M policy, depending on location. So that's not a huge expense. I teach my students to pass on recurring supply costs to their clients, minus a few essential tools. And then of course their are taxes, like in any job. Thanks for watching! :-)

@@TheProfessionalCleaner being bonded is something people should do as well. That is very important, especially if you do residential cleaning. I don't know of many people that will provide you with supplies for your business, that should be figured in the cost. Again taxes are a big portion of your pay that must be managed correctly. You have decent info, but you should expand a little more of the costs of business.
