I STARTED IN THE FALL. LOAD A BUNCH OF LEAVES HEY AND GOAT POO AND LET OT ROT ALL WINTER. IN THE SPRING I JUST PLANTED MY SEEDS IN THE WORM MADE SOIL. RINSE AND REPEAT EVERY FALL

When putting up a fence to keep out unwanted animals, it's a good idea to put a foot or so of chicken wire or the like on flat on the ground surrounding the garden so it puts off burrowing animals from trying to gain entry, as they like to dig at the fenceline and don't think (usually) to dig further away from the fenceline.

My famly has our own garden and its doing well! Right now we have a ton of green beans, green bell peppers, and some tomatoes. We did cucumbers last year and that was a success but we decided to change it up because the cucumbers got out of hand 😂
I live very near to you, in fact I use the peaceful valley nursery. My property is deer fenced but my problem is gophers. I have made 6 - 40”x 12’ raised beds with 1/2” wire nailed to the bottom of my wood sides. I am ready to expand my garden but the costs of raised beds is really high, so I want to plant directly into my existing soil. Do you have any suggestions to either rid the area of gophers or deter them from destroying my crops?

When I was ten we started a garden. We had vegetables and fruit we did not about the deer fence though. All of our strawberries were ate by deer and squirrels. Now almost 6 years later I find out about the deer fence, *sigh* I am thinking about starting the garden up again this year though
Great idea with the cardboard and straw in alleys, never thought about doing this but I definitely would. I haven't read the soil tests, but by what it looks in the vid, the soil seems like it has good potential and a nice depth. I would go with some sand, a lot of basalt powder, 100-150g of one of the calcium-heavy, ph-raising amendments, and lots of compost and/or composted horse manure before planting, the way you showed in the vid... I wonder what the soil analysis suggested?
Love it! So nice. Wish one day to wake to such garden. It hurt even with this love in my heart for farming I can't afford even one acre of $1000 of land. Pray with me please.

What is the timeline on all of this? I built my garden, tilled and put in compost this fall but I'm guessing this video is for the spring of course. So you tilled again and put compost again and made you rows when? Because then you said to weed a few more times before you plant so thats a few weeks probably? Jeez never seen someone make so many ads for organic. Though I also grow organic stop subliminally pushing organic in people’s faces, either address why organic or just tell people how to garden; we have enough advertisements as it is.
Me too, I tried to grow lettuce in my garden but my dog loves wet soil. So it's unfortunate for my plants because she dug up my soil and slept there the whole day😂
😭My garden soil always is infested with teeny tiny white things with antennas and they eat the plants from underground causing plants to rot from the roots. Any ideas what it could be? And any ideas of how you would go about dealing with them? They are the size of fleas and shaped oval long. They are only in the soil, too, if that helps.
I read up on this. Planting marigolds, Nasturtium, throughout garden help kill bugs in soil and white flies are attracted to them and stick to the flowers instead of the vegetables.
Bruh I’m here just because I now get the time to plant a garden. School and work have been so time consuming now that I can take a break and I want to be able to do a peaceful hobby. It’s cool we get to take a break and breathe. Not worried bout the world to be honest. Too busy with the now. I’m enjoying it. I’m thinking about doing tomatoes, peas and poinsettias.

It is a good one of a kind product for learning how to design an amazing dream landscape minus the headache. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my close friend Aubrey got excellent results with it.

i think he means it seems like you might be over complicating the process a bit. i kinda feel the same, i know it takes a bit of work to start a garden, but it does seem like you are taking it to the very extreme. good video otherwise, good info also
This video just made me more confused and scared to start.... so many steps and not explained in depth, for example, where to buy this stuff.... and why do I need the organic compost on the bottom if I'm just going to cover it with cardboard...and what are the pathways...
lol, that wasn't a fresh plot... where are the weeds/grass? and why is there already an established fence around it with grass growing into it? that plot is at least 3 years old.
