I admire people who can stick with a common theme in their bullet journals. I use a bullet journal specifically because I can do whatever I want. In 2021 I bought two different planners then gave up on using a planner altogether, because I get bored so easily. Then I discovered bullet journaling a couple months ago and it suits me so well.

I get bored easily as well which is why I believe the bujo works for well for me! I love changing up layouts

this is such a great idea. especially deciding what supplies to limit or reserve. i love to use stamps, but i have learned to limit my ink colours to keep it efficient. i'm lucky to have multiple art journals where i can collage photos and paper, instead of cluttering my productive bujo.
@KaitlinGrey
@KaitlinGrey 2 года назад
I do that too, and next year I've even delegated a specific ink colour (versa magic in wheat) for more decorative stamping that I want to add as accents so everything is cohesive but also, I don't get caught up in decision paralysis! And thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed the video!

Thanks for sharing your process! I find videos like this so helpful. I truly appreciate your channel because you focus not just on the looks, but really on the why of what you're doing and that helps me figure out my why! So funny that I'm currently in the BUJO 2 and was planning on the Stalogy dot for my next one as well!

I love your video! I appreciate your detailed explanation of your migration process, and the free printable that you’ve shared with us! Thank you! Also, I love that you refer people back to Ryder’s original method. A lot of beginners have no idea where it originated from and feel so much pressure to make it like everyone else’s.
@KaitlinGrey
@KaitlinGrey 2 года назад
Thanks you Lindsey! I’m glad you liked all the details bc sometimes I worry it’s a lot but then I realize my brain is a lot haha! I totally agree with you, it’s so important when learning the method to go look at Ryders stuff, while we all have our own take on the bullet journal he is the creator and I feel that following his method is key to successfully learning how to use it properly!

@@KaitlinGrey I'm sure it will, thank you!!! my biggest issue right now is I have to have sooooooo many health trackers T.T I have a few conditions we have to watch and there's some symptom crossover, so I've been working for years on a comprehensive set up, but I think a set of weekly circle graphs might be the best? and maybe I'll break them down into pixels? I had an injury last year, and a daily circle graph was really helpful, but I think I really need to dedicate a page to a set of them to track things more precisely, and it should absolutely not be more than a page a week. but, this has been one of my bigger hold ups with my set up this year. thoughts/comments? that was alot to unload. lol so sorry
@KaitlinGrey
@KaitlinGrey 2 года назад
Omg Bethany, please don’t apologize, I’m happy to listen and share my thoughts! I think if the daily tracking helped previously I would stick with that bc it seems to work, and I feel like a page of week dedicated to trackers would make tons of sense. One thing I would think about is if you would find keeping the trackers by your weekly pages useful, or setting up all four pages of weekly trackers right at the beginning of your month. I think from a reference pov, keeping them together for each month may be really helpful when cross checking and comparing, but of course you know yourself best but I hope this gives you some ideas!

@@KaitlinGrey thank you so much!! that is really helpful as I move forward qith setting up my spreads this week. btw, your migration guide was also super helpful in making my migration more structured, thought out, and overall much less time consuming!! thank you for putting that together! btw, I've been trying to set up a vlog for a bit now, any tips? I used to do direct sales, and was floored when I found out Archer and Olive and a TON of other companies do sponsorships. so, I've been recording some things, getting a camera set up, and working on channel branding and social media interconnectivity. 1. do you have any tips for starting out with a Bujo geared channel? and 2. would it be alright to link/reference your guide in one of my first videos? thanks!

@KaitlinGrey
@KaitlinGrey 2 года назад
Eeeeeeeee you and me both Sofia!!!!! I’m setting it up next week and it’s going to be such a party (the cozy, chill kind lol). I’ve been using the dot grid Stalogy as my reading journal and testing it out with my book notes is what convinced me to get Ike for my bujo! I love Stalogy paper and now that it had a super light dot grid, I mean, there’s nothing else I could ask for! Obviously there’s a a lot of ghosting in this type of notebook but I really don’t mind it ☺️
@HEJtoss

@@KaitlinGrey I'm looking forward to that cozy chill party 😄 You convinced me to try Stalogy for 2022 so I'm using the B6 gridded for next year. I had a hard time choosing between the B6 and the dotted 😅🥰
@KaitlinGrey
@KaitlinGrey 2 года назад
Oof that is a hard choice! The b6 size is so portable which is so nice, but the dot grid on the A5 is so nice and light. It would be so awesome if they release the dot grid for all the sizes!

Im stuck in the Creating boundaries. I want to put everything in my bullet journal and have it at home. For todos/events/future planning i have a calendar. I think my purpose is mostly to track stuff, health, Creative work and memories. And goals. Since the Bullet journal wouldnt leave the house very often, i think i might put my journaling in the back of that book. Not sure.
@KaitlinGrey
@KaitlinGrey 2 года назад
I see! Well, technically you can totally include everything in your journal, I just found personally it overwhelmed me which is why I used this boundaries exercise as a way to figure out what to pair down. But if you want to include everything I'd go for it, and then you can always remove and tweak what you include as you go along 😄
