Question to anyone who may know - wanting to make a podcast out of pre-recorded materials. A phone conversation between two people. I also wouldn't be there in the same room when the phone call takes place. For example, a conversation between my friend and her grandma overseas that she later sends to me and I edit into a podcast. To make this work in a way that allows clear recordings, I'm not sure what I need. I don't know what I don't know. Any advice? Search terms I can researcg or resources I could look up? Does anyone have any advice on search terms I can look up? Thank you! (Also thank you for this video)

Hello, can you help me? I have Rode Procaster and Behringer Umc22. But i have environmental noise like PC's fan and my voice is muffled. What should i do? I want most clear voice. Nowadays im looking to "Triton Audio FetHead". But i think my audio interface is bad. Should i buy mixer or audio interface or fethead? I have a few models on my mind. Scarlett 2i2 or Behringer XENYX Q802USB. I will use only microphone so i dont need more channels.
@BandH
@BandH 4 года назад
You can elect to filter out the environmental noises in post via your DAW software. Do not add the Fethead to an inferior or defective interface either. The Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 2x2 USB Audio Interface (3rd Generation) B&H # FOSCARL2I23G would be an excellent choice and would pair well with your microphone. bhpho.to/33PBSGJ >Mark

Wow, I'm really late to the party. I just stubbled across this video and I'm so glad that I did. It was very well done and very well presented and very informative. I appreciate that. I'm a Preacher and a Teacher of the things of God. And I've been doing that for 30 years. So, I'm very comfortable speaking into a microphone for and in front of people. It's almost as if I was costume made for it. However, about 5 years ago, I got tired of the false teachings and hypocrisy in the Church. I grew tired of Pastors and Leaders caring more about money than teaching the truth to help people through life. When I spoke up about it, I was forced out. So, now I'm looking for a new path. I think I have found it. But I had absolutely no equipment and no knowledge of how this all worked. So, here I am. And soon the truth will be heard from this Preacher again. Everyone has a voice and there will always be someone out there willing to listen. Don't let anyone or anything silence you.

Am I the only one that knows about Davinci Resolve's Fairlight module?? Resolve has a great audio interface as part of their video editing software that is tons better than Fairlight and Garageband-and it's free. True enough it's video editing and colorizing software but it has an amazing audio module that is better than any audio-only app that I've seen. In fact, if Fairlight was a standalone app instead of being part of Davinci, it would probably be one of the top DAW's available. Any thoughts?

So you give us wisdom on how to start a podcast without screaming at us or telling us not to. All the while giving us an Avenue to help make the world a better place. Thank you for the content

Could you have multiple people around a table with one USB microphone and have it sound ok? Rather than a microphone for each person
@BandH

One USB microphone will not be as an effective as individual microphones. This may work for you. Arrange the attendees in a semi-circle around the microphone: MXL AC-44 Miniature USB Conferencing Microphone (Blue) B&H # MXAC44COBALT: bhpho.to/3tqEG9u >Mark< For Telemedicine, Conferencing & More Works with Computers Wide Pickup Pattern for Multiple People 3.5mm Line Output for Amplification USB-C Connection for Computers No Drivers Required for Operation Broadcast-Quality 48 kHz / 16-bit Audio

I'm a huge user of Pro Tools for mixing/mastering of music, and I would personally never recommend it for a podcast. WAYYYYY too many issues

When using the software for recording, which software allows you to record the longest?

This is a very good video! But just so people know, the Blue Yeti is good for 2 person podcasts. It has different options for sound pickup and i’ve had good experiences with it so far
