A marketing agency is a business that provides campaign solutions to companies that are trying to increase their brand recognition on the internet. In this instance, strategies are done online or digital, instead of traditional methods such as radio, print or TV ads.
Digital marketing is comprised of various methods that I like to call SWEPS which stands for Social, Web, Email, Pay-Per-Click and Search Engine Marketing. Then there’s also CM which means Content Marketing. Once you have learned at least one of those strategies, you can start earning money running campaigns for companies that need your expertise.
If you are planning to start an SMMA in 2020, you must have heard a lot of things that hinder you to start, and one thing is probably the oversaturation in the marketing industry. Think about how a lot of entrepreneurs start their businesses per year - there are millions! That said, you are guaranteed that you can find a potential client who will be needing your assistance to come up with successful campaigns that will drive traffic for their business.
To start your marketing agency, you will need these:
1. Laptop
2. Internet
3. Business License
4. Tax ID
5. Bank Account
6. Niche
7. Business Name
8. Website
9. In-depth understanding of SWEPS and CM

I’ve started the free course and so far am really enjoying the quality and how organized the content is. In an age where there’s literally countless of Guru’s who are trying to sell you their course that will “make you millions” with minimal effort. This doesn’t appear to be that so far. I hope it’s not. My goal for 2020 is to get my business up and running and find 6 clients in the first 3 months.

Talking about the goals in smma , i am literally starting from September . Then i am hoping to put my efforts in reaching business mainly local . I am honestly tired of working for other people, expected to be excited about tiny raises and not being able to leverage my abilities to actually help people. For me, SMMA is about helping businesses and business owners meet their goals, right now given the virus situation this is even more important. I have three goals: 1) Gain my first client and get to a point where I am making $2500/month (roughly 50% of my normal income) 2) Get my agency to a point where I replace my day job (Bartender roughly at 4k-5k/month) 3) Scale to 10k/month by year end.

I am going through a very bad time phase. my current business is not working. I do not have enough money . Things are going against me. and now covide-19 I have been trying my level best but not getting any success for the last 6 years. it is hard to keep my self motivated but I do that all the time. I have been learning digital marketing and social media marketing for the last 2 months and got a couple of customers. I do not expect a lot this year but I want a little stability in life. So true, spent probably 5 to 7 hours (if not more) on my website. I use godaddy (used to use Wordpress for hosting but realized that a SSL certificate does not come with it, but it does come with the free website builder on godaddy)

Hey!! I just started my agency 2 weeks ago and have already landed and signed 2 clients with a potential 3rd next week! @@CerealEntrepreneurJordanSteen in the first couple of months I will be focused on establishing a brand both for myself and my company. Currently, I am too young to do warm outreaches on freelancer sites. I will have a salesperson/ outreach expert run the outreaching part for me. With that, it gives me more time to focus on money-generating activities. ( and no there won't be employees just contractors ) I will be setting up my agency in a way that it can pretty much run itself. All I really have to do is oversee work, work on keeping clients, see how things are progressing, keep contractors together, plan for big events/presentations. After both my brand and my company's brand start growing enough then I will be using that to my advantage. Now I don't know all the pieces to every single thing because I hardly have any experience or have expert knowledge on every single thing but I am learning as I go... Life is the best teacher, It's always throwing some difficult problem your way and then seeing what you will do with it.

@@CerealEntrepreneurJordanSteen Well I wrote out my service/price list and I created packages that will allow me to meet that goal if I get the right clients. It's up to me to land these leads and stay consistent.

Any help for starting out on phone? I’m pretty young so I don’t have a good computer and I don’t really have the ability to get all of the software you requested, but I still want to do content marketing. I just want a system that will allow me to organize everything since I’m going to start out doing everything myself.

Hi Jordan! In the video you said Facebook would not be good for criminal lawers, but what about immigration attorneys? I have 2-3 niches on mind to start my SMMA (immigration attorneys, dentists and wedding/event planners) Do you think those are good profit niches?

For immigration attorneys? I would recommend LinkedIn. For your niches, I wouldn't really suggest going for event planners at the moment.
