I personally don't have middle men. I farm all my fresh organic herbs and produce. I started be farming Moringa tree's and powdering it and selling in capsules and powder. It is also a spice an extremely healthy one.
I was so bewildered about how to start this and realize my dream. You are a God Send and renewed my hope. Also, you have a wealth of knowledge that I am finding extremely helpful. Thank You so much.
Sir, I am running a small scale spice exporting business in Sri Lanka. We export only the best quality spices at very reasonable prices. Cloves, white pepper, black pepper, cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, are our main exports. It is possible to provide these in bulk and small quantities. I request you to join us in making your dream of starting a small scale spice business a success.
How do you research the quality of the herbs and spices you purchase? Where and how they were grown? How they were dried/processed? How old are they? Do you purchase ingredients in Canada or USA or only imported ingredients? Is it even possible to purchase large amounts of herbs and spices that were grown in Canada or USA? I'm in Canada so I'm more interested in purchasing Canadian grown herbs and spices. And I'm aware not everything can be grown in cold climates. TIA
Wow! Some of these questions are kindergarten 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 don't get me wrong I'm glad you all are excited to wanna start your own business, but.. it's really very simple, go small first and work your way up gradually.. everybody always wants to grab for the stars overnight, not gonna happen, you gotta build, reach, and step day by day.. trust me go small first, and your rewards will be plentiful 💯👍

Thanks for the info it definitely sheds some light for me. What would be some good advice for mixing spices (utensils or other equipment)? Im thinking about starting small then perfection then mass production.

Great question you can make them from home in MOST states but the selling online will depend on your states cottage food laws....MOST wont allow online sales without a commercial food business set up.
Marketing Food Online another question, if I will ever do a private labeling of seasoning can I store the packaged, labelled and sealed seasoning from the manufacturer at home? Thanks again for responding so quick!
I have a question. I am in California and would like to start a spice business online. Please let me know what should I do. I am from India and I can get spices from there. But what kind of paperwork I have to do. I really appreciate your help.
Hello thank you for your VERY helpful lessons. I am looking into selling spices on eBay as it’s the cheapest platform I can afford at the moment. I have also found a supplier that would actually pack the spices for me in 100ml containers for a very reasonable price. My question is starting up how many of these containers should I order a month as I don’t want to order too little or too much. At the moment am concentrating on 4 different blends of masala spices. Thank you.
Hi Esther, who's your supplier if you don't mind sharing. From what I see when I google, most suppliers are in India. I m wondering how much it could weigh on customs.
@@blessedmommakitchen4450 hi I have just ordered tea masala waiting for the delivery. I get mine from my country Tanzania in our little island called Zanzibar. We grow most of the spices there. Hope this helps.
I’d be very interested in learning more on this topic! I’m in Massachusetts for reference. With the quarantine still being very prevalent here I’d be most interested in getting a spice business up and running online. Thank you for this video! Any more insight or advice is much appreciated. I’ll be checking out your other videos as well!
What additional regulations do you have to account for when selling online across state lines? You have to work out of a licensed commercial kitchen and follow additional FDA guidelines, correct? I'm wanting to sell a dry-mix product online, but I'm confused about the extra steps needed to make that happen.
Im going to plan spice biz.im from srilanka ..im worry how can i find buyers for it..from europe or outside of country..and labeling too.can you advice any tutorials
U know if plant hybrid is different right the flavour maybe? If white pepper hybrid with something then cant be the same. I feel of making a hybrid spices but it is like a 100% buy then out of stock. Maybe a shop to cook using the hybrid spices is fair? Open A Hybrid Farm Networking Group?
I am not a usual supplier. I think you can get the raw materials at a very REASONABLE PRICE so you can get them at a lower price in my country. I can send you from the farmer

I’m starting a Spice blend biz, I have label design and a couple recipes. How far do you think I should go in farmer’s market venues and still be profitable?
@@MarketingFoodOnline yes I’m at a bare minimum right now under $200 total but have yet to get insurance and LLC. I can’t get a straight answer from the state on the LLC as per cost
I want to ask.. how I can measure my signature spices from small amounts to large amounts like 1 KG or 5 kg ...? I'm about to lose my mind because of it
I'm from NYC. I lived abroad for several years and have a grocery shop in the Middle East. I have access to high quality spices. I would like to start an online business but don't know how to get started, especially the import process. If you can provide some advice or links that would be awesome! Thanks in advance!
Im about to jump into the spice game but I want to know how do I get the freshness seal on the bottle I want to selling from home and online. Please give me some feed back.
From what little I learnt from my survey I have seen people seal the masala in a special sealer machine which fills the masala, adds nitrogen gas and then seals the pack for freshness.
Vicky so much for watching and asking that's a great question yes in her cottage food laws you can not ship a product over state lines some States do allow you actually to sell online but you would have to deliver them in person many States are looking into opening up the idea but they haven't really instituted any role rules or laws just yet
One of the best ways to make money is to make sure your bundleing and have a HIGH per transaction dollar amount example selling a spice for 4.00 or a couple daollars WON'T work you can bundle or sell in bulk with a rpice point around 20-30 dollars yes you can become profitable.
