If you are struggling, don't quit and keep going!! Everyone has their own journey and remember, this is a marathon and not a race.. everyone is running their own. I just hit 6K subscribers today and would never have thought I'll be where I am today. I always wanted to have youtube channel but fear, doubt, and being self conscious put many road blocks in front of me. I hit my first 1K in 8/13/22 and monetized 3 days later on 8/16/22! Be consistent and always learn. Vanessa and others have given amazing tips and motivation for me to make it this far. Thanks Vanessa!
Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So love the people who treat you right, forget about the ones who don’t. And believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said it would be easy, just that it would be worth it
I remember when I had family members saying that RU-vid was for kids and that I’m too old to be doing RU-vid. I actually had quit! Now, I’m back. I don’t truly have a niche, but I don’t care. I started my RU-vid channel right before the pandemic and I stopped because life became uncertain for me at that point (as it was for many of us). I have to tell you...this is by far, THE BEST informational video I have ever watched! I'm trying to get a RU-vid channel started, and there are so many "How to" videos about RU-vid that I have found myself overwhelmed. It's been a frustrating experience because most of those creators have not delivered clear or detailed information, or they just touch on it enough to entice you to pay for a course. I have watched hours and hours of videos on this topic and never came away with a clear plan of action as to where to even start. You delivered excellent value to me. I'm 62 and on a VERY tight income, so paying anyone for a course on just starting a Channel is out of my reach. Laying out all of these questions for me to answer for myself gives me a clear path to follow, and all your tips and examples really help me understand what it's going to take to set myself up for success. I've watched some of your other videos and loved them as well, but this one made me a NEW FAN! Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom for free. ❤❤❤❤❤
Even though I already started my youtube channel, there is still so much I could take away from this video. I love how this video is more like a mini workshop or class. Very detailed and well-explained points. This is def a video I will come back to on my journey. I am almost there. 🤗

There should be a section on youtube or a platform somewhere where people can just ask for specific types of tutorials and tag them by specific genres and etc, so content creators can scroll and immediately pick from. And the person who asked, if the question is upvoted at least 10 times (or 10 different people), will be notified when certain creators have picked that question and are already in the process of making that video tutorial, and when it's coming out.
I think youtube is fun. I have a few channels. Two with my 6 year old. One is a cheerleading/dance/gymnastics channel in the pre-launch stage, the other is a kids channel with 54 subscribers. I think a few strangers subbed to the kids channel and my daughter was super happy. Our videos for the kids channel are all bad but get better each time and people notice. It's actually super satisfying to get better and better each video. I encourage you all to try. First 50 is an adrenaline rush! Took 2.5 months
I watched this video from beginning to end in one sitting. I also one to add something many people may not have noticed. By the time the video ended it went from day to night. That's how long it took to create such a value filled video. I am definitely using a lot of things from this video and the Link Twin recommendation is so useful. I hate the browser version of RU-vid. Amazing video as always!

At times, it can be tempting to quit if you don’t see results, but keep going and see how far you’ve come from the beginning. Never give up, we got this!
Oh my! I’m ready to get off the ig content hamster wheel by creating long form content. Been debating whether a YT channel is the route to go and pull micro-content from videos. My goal is to create highly valuable info and guide others to reach higher potential in life - regardless if I monetize, sharing my passions is my aim. Whether that is a viable course to take, I suppose I should try! This video has a lot for me to consider. Wish me luck! ⚡️
The point about being online when you post video is so important, the last time I posted a video I was too tired and took a nap before I came back online I didn't get a good number of views because I couldn't promote my video on other platforms. You are the only one that actually gives good advice and actually touches on some points that a lot of people don't want to/think of touching. It's been almost 2 years since I started my channel, and uploaded over 100 videos. I went through a lot of phases in which I wanted to quit. Things don't always go as planned, and I know that I still have a long way to go, but I don't regret starting!

Btw i am taking modeling class and need a good exercise routine but the motivation to continue to show up and do the work! But also keep my body in that way instead of changing every month. You see? This is so helpful! I wish I had watched this prior to starting my channel. I especially love how you clarified that there are different reasons people are on RU-vid and different metrics for success. I get frustrated sometimes with some of the metrics, but this has made me realize I'm measuring for the wrong goal (I'm building RU-vid for my business, not to be RU-vid famous).
Wow! Even though I watched in its entirety I can’t say I’m as excited now after viewing. “Information overload” for anyone who is a beginner and also clueless like me.
I started my RU-vid channel I January this year. It's been hard but fun. Finding a way to put all the ideas together in video form has been the hardest. This video has loads of secret tips. Absolutely love it. I can't wait to reach my goals. Fingers crossed. By the one year mark.

Having a toddler, a 9-5 job plus dealing with life in general can make it extremely hard. My goal is to create a channel as a side hustle, but my niche is fashion which means I would have to spend $$$ in the beginning and I can't afford that. Once again thanks a lot. You definitely have to take notes and I recommend to watch again so you don't miss anything since this is an hour long video! I rarely do vlogging on my channel so I might not be the right person to answer this! I recommend checking RU-vid for other creators who are really experts in vlogging! Hope that helps! 42:42 Splice is also an easy and cheap editing app that I use, since I only have an iPhone at the moment. But I upgraded to LumaFusion but it seems very confusing, luckily they have several tutorial videos to help understand how to use the system! Can’t wait to start using it!
