Just because someone doesn't have a piece of paper as a credential, doesn't mean that person is not entitled to share personal experiences with the hope & intention to inspire others. Keep up with whatever it is that you're doing to improve mankind or improving your life even to a slight degree each day. This is just one part of a bigger puzzle for creating my RU-vid channel about holistic health. I literally could have died back when I was 14 years old due to major depression but here I am right now replying to you, a RU-vidr, who's full of fulfillment and dedication to help others to be a better version of themselves. I have been following your advice and posting almost every Thursday. I cant believe how far my channel has progressed in six months. If you have a niche, good content, great thumbnails and searchable titles you will grow. I have 107k views and 607 subscribers. 67 years old and not in this for the money (but I won't turn it down). I am in it for the challenge and the great feeling I get when someone thanks me for a video that helps them.

@@kayee4134 - I kind of just fell into it. We bought some property in the country and built a barn. I filmed it being built and posted it on RU-vid for friends. It was kind of fun so I started thinking about the process of building a barn. I noticed that there was not much information on the internet about the costs to build a pole barn. So I put my $200 Samsung J7 on a tripod and just started talking. Pow 78K views and growing 700 views a week. So I thought well that was helpful so I just started serving up videos on barns. This is such a narrow niche I will have to expand it. My next thing I need to do is buy a tractor so I am doing research and sharing. I reached out to some tractor people and will be doing collabs in June. I have no idea where this journey will lead to but I find it very challenging. I have early on set dementia and the technical parts of this has my brain in gear all the time. Bottom line is what interests you? What are you already doing that you can just tie into your channel? It is kinda of morose but maybe someday I will blog on my daily life as it slowly slips from my mind. I bet I would own that niche!

I think it's a great idea to do vlogs on your life so that you and others to come will remember the person you are. Just keep head strong and never become lazy , because I know that's something alot of people suffer with. So don't let it stop you. I've been doing RU-vid for like a year now, trying to upload weekly. I feel like in the beginning I didn't know what niche to choose because I just loved so many things, but then later I realized it's actually difficult to keep up with all of it, and I felt lost and that nothing was really in order. So, recently I decided I'll do something that I've always loved to do, and that's: Words. I used to love learning new words when I was younger, I'd even write personal dictionaries for myself. Which led me to think to try and present that to the world, because what if there are people out there like me who love to get introduced to new words and phrases? Honestly, I just started this series a few days ago, so it's hard to predict where it'd take me. I think I could also squeeze in book reviews though, and uploading poetry videos, considering I think they'd be relatable. And maybe book shopping vlogs. In that sense, I guess I could be practicing a variety of content but I'm also niched down. Now I don't know if anyone really read this far because this is one hell of a long comment I just wrote😂 but yeah, if you did reach this far thank you so much for listening.

A huge issue I always had was comparing myself to other RU-vidrs. I feel many can relate, when they find a channel that is doing the same thing as them, but better, become unmotivated. And that's the huge issue, becoming unmotivated. You feel less confident, and less motivated to put out your content because you feel it won't be enough. But if there is one major thing I learned. It's that if you solely focus on your own grind and making content you love and enjoy you'll do fine. I started my channel earlier last year and never shouted it out. I just did what I knew and what I loved and people liked it. Regardless of where you are at with your channel, enjoy the little things. Bc if you're doing stuff you're enjoying without focusing on anyone else, you increase your chances of being found.

My biggest challenge as of now is getting subscribers. Still learning of course but thumbnails, topics, titles, and tagging has improved. View duration is increasing so I guess I just have to be consistent My content is niched down to building the mindset for success and self development for the Entrepreneurs and creators

tip 9: Think like an entrepreneur: They find solutions to problems and find a way to monetize that solution. Same thing with youtube, watch your "competitors" and see what people are complaining about in the comments, can you find a solution to their complains? That's your target.

Great set of tips. The most important three: 1. Start: Any journey starts with the first steps. Doesn't have to be perfect. 2. Engage: Be part of the community. 3. Think about the value: Why it is important to people whom you think as your audience.
