This is so good. I’m a white mom to two gorgeous Black daughters, and while I’ve learned a lot about natural hair care, I haven’t been successful at box braids extensions before, myself. I’ve paid for them with other stylists, but I’m finally ready to tackle them with the help of your fantastic videos. Thank you so, so much.
After watching around 20 tutorials all of them very detailed ones, I finally get it right. I love the way you explained the technique really easy to catch up.
This was super helpful and interesting, never knew there were so many ways to do box braids. I usually use the three strand method. Your videos are always bomb keep it up
I tried the crochet method from part 1 and all of them from this video, and #6 is by far my favorite!! These were super helpful cause I Finally learned how to braid close to my scalp Without rubberbands!!! 😃 Gurl, I wanted to run through the house like ppl run around the church when they catch the spirit! 🤣 The next time I do box braids on myself they're gonna be so bomb and look professional! 😁
Thank you so much for taking the time out of your day for making this video. I gave up on box braids because my grip is e weak and I couldn't master the 3 strand technique. I feel like I can go practice using many of the techniques you have displayed. Thank you again. Yes I did hit the subscribed button😊
I've learned a lot from you as a 54 year old beginner... PLEASE keep posting videos you give so much detailed information that I as a beginner can understand from start to finish. Thank You young lady!!
I like the crochet method from the 1st video and the 3 strand grasp method from this video. I'm going to try both and see which I can do better. Thank you so much for this tutorial! It is honestly the best on youtube!
Step 5 is just way tooooo complicated for me I love the rubber band methods I saw in part 1 and I will be using that step to braid my sisters hair for the summer.... Thank you so much for the help tho ❤❤
What one of my aunts used to do in the 90’s is use rubber bands to start the braid and then she’d go back and cut it so that it’s not tugging on the hair and breaking it.
An 8th method that I use is a 2 strand grab. Have the 3 strands of sythetic then part the natural hair into 2 sections, grab and braid. It's the easiest for me to grip
I usually use the 3 strand method but you caught me in love with the crotchet method and it looks more natural at the root. You have a new fan. I'm glad you are showing multiple methods on how to start off box braids, now I learned something new. Wow that crotchet method I never seen anything like that before. Thanks for this vid. Keep em coming! Now I know what method I'm gonna use on my own hair if I don't use the 3 strand method
Omg you are so awesome!! It's been my desire to braid for so long because I have three girls and I want to rake care of their hair instead to spending all that money!! Can't wait to try these when I get home!!! THANK YOU! Still watching in 2019!!
I know this comment is late but just had to like 👍🏾and comment to show some love. Thanks so much for this video I don't braid my hair often so every time i do, i have "re-teach" myself and this video always gets me back on track. I do the 3 strand method . Thanks for the video and love the music in the video too. 💜💜💜💜
This was video number 10 because all the others were so obtuse for being a tutorial. This was super clear and so good. Really impressed with how clearly she explained it all
Come on, this should have so many more views. I can't Thank you enough. I have watched so many vids as others have said, but this is the most concise video. Thank you for taking the time to explain, demonstrate at perfect speed and considering everyone's skill level when making this video.
I have done the rubber band methods for all my braids because my grip was weak just could not get it. Your videos just changed the game. Thank you so much for your time and details on these videos. The very best videos.
Thank you for these methods...you make it so simple for beginners such as myself with 4 daughters who just can’t afford $150 plus for plaits!!! THANK YOU!!!
Thanks girl... I been tryna learn this three strand method and feed in for a while, this video really helped... I’m really impressed you knew the feed in method before 2019 cause that’s when I found out about it... been doing box braids since I was 12 and 2 strand was all I knew that’s for opening this new world of box braids to me
@DOPEaxxPana I am SO glad I came across your video. I've watched Many Many videos trying to understand where & how to place my fingers on #5 and was never able to really get it, but watching your video helped tremendously, you explained it VERY well & now I understand. So much so, that I immediately went and practiced on my head before seeing the rest of the video & YES, I FINALLY Got It. I Also loved all the other methods as well. Thank You SO Much Sis!
See the three strands will always be hard for me, I guess I need to start trying, trying and trying.. and I have three girls and still don’t know how to do box braids! But I will learn though cause I’m tired of giving folks my money lol.. Good video
I usually don't comment but I've watched several videos before this and still didn't get how to do it but watching your videos have shown me many different ways that are easier for me. Your videos were also very detailed and every method was clear to me. So thanks🙂💓
Thank you for this tutorial! I've seen so many that do not explain the process in detail like this. I've done box braids once on my daughter and they turned out ok, but I think I'm going to try again using the three strand method they should come out much better. Thank you!
I enjoyed part 1 and part 2. Both videos are extremely helpful and full of goodies. Although, I'm not a braider. I only wear my natural hair in braids with no weave but wear it under my wigs. I did my own extensions as a kid and I used the first method on part 1. Ha ha, my braids were a hot mess too, lol.
You have a new subscriber. I promise myself that I must learn to braid on extension hair before year end as part of my self improvement hairstyling journey. I normally have problems figuring out my fingers and getting a tight grip to anchor the braid naturally without using a crotchet method so THANK YOU for the options. Great tutorial. Love from the UK x
Thank you thank you thank you🙏🤗🤗🙏 I have a problem with my braid beginning be loose but now I can practice your methods to see which is more comfortable for me.... Love your videos!!!!!!! U r amazing!
This was sooo informative! I’m budgeting to purchase a mannequin head, some hair & practice, practice. I’d love to offer this to ladies in my area at reasonable prices, I like the idea of extra income. There many ladies from Africa in my area and others as well who braid but the prices are really, really high! Keep up the good work & thank you for these easy to understand and follow videos!
Thank you for this! I had an idea how to do it, but you showed me a few ways. I'm doing my daughters hair tomorrow. She's biracial, and got the short end of the stick here... my texture, but has dads curls. Its not a typical "biracial" texture, so when she said she wanted long braids, I freaked! But I think it'll work! thanks for all the info!
Thank you for this, I think I watched 50 videos on method 5. Thought I understood and attempted to do my own hair. The three strand never quite worked. I got the braids in, I don’t really know how but they’re in. When I take these out and let my scalp rest, I will try again with a better understanding. Thank you 😘 subscribed👍🏾
You are my hero!!! I have tried to pick up a braiding style to try out diy box braids from hundreds of channels until I found your channel. Super dope, super easy to follow along and super detailed!!! ❤️New Subbie
I am doing my own box braids and I tried 3 of your methods. It's hard and I think I did okay for a beginner. It may last only 2.5 weeks lol because of my gripping and that's fine I only need it for vacation. Thanks this video was a great help.
I love meeting left handed people hey y'all lol. But I'm left handed and I'm a pro at braiding hair been doing it since grade school lol and I taught myself.
Love it! This was so helpful. Being a southpaw makes things hard lol, but I have confidence I can do this now. I have used the first method before but I love the 6th method. Thank you!!!!
Hey I’m really loving your channel 🥰 ! can you make another video showing how you did method 5, I can’t quite see how you were able to start it and mine doesn’t come out as well?
