Angie, thank you so much for making these videos! I am just finding your channel now after receiving some aero gardens for Christmas and going down the hydroponics rabbit hole (I'm sure you can relate!) I'm very interested in getting an iharvest, but am making myself wait until at least I get one harvest of SOMETHING from my aerogardens before spending more money hahaha. Your videos are so informative and are getting me excited about growing my own food and sharing the joy gardening with my young children! I look forward to more videos! I would also love some videos about good companion plants combos for iharvest! I know igworks has some ideas on their website, but it would be cool to see some in action!

Always loving your videos. Your growing baby romaine. Any specific reason for growing baby? Which are your favorite lettuces to grow in the iHarvest? Same question for the Kale :) Seems like a Blue Curled Scotch seems to be a top favorite. Have you done a video starting herbs? I always wondered how many seeds per pod for things like cilantro, basil, oregano and such.

Some big questions. I do baby romain because it works for salads and sandwiches well. My favorite lettuces are mixes like a chefs choice, or a Grand Rapids lettuce. Thanks for watching!

Do the iHarvest & uHarvest use the same kind of peat moss based growing media? Just different shape & size? I'm wondering if I should soak the uHarvest growing media in water first like you did with those for the IHarvest. And for how long? Seems like you let them stay in that bucket of water the full length of this video and maybe longer. Also, about the reflective covers, I bought them for the uHarvest, but only 2 sprouts(of tomatoes)have started to grow out of 12 after a month now. And that's after following all the recommendations from IGWorks. Should I take the reflective covers off to give the little cone shaped pots & seeds more light? Or is it something else I'm doing wrong? I've been putting in 1 tiny scoop of nutrients every 2 weeks with the included tiny scooper. And then stirring it up in the basin real good. Should I try putting in an extra scoop of nutrients each time? Two instead of one every 2 weeks?

First, thanks for taking the time to comment all that. Second the growing sponges are the same peat moss base yes. I always rinse all my sponges. No mater what style of unit I’m using. Time in the water is not a concern or relevant. Unless my sponges were frozen and I’m warming them up. You could just rinse in a sink of running water and be done with it. I just let them float until I’m done planting. :) With the reflective covers I have used them with smaller sized table top units too. What I would look at is the type of tomato you are growing. Some take a long time to germinate. Second. They don’t need nutrients, even in the UHarvest if they are just sitting germinating. I would be testing the water PH and EC in the uHarvest just like the iHarvest. I am never on a schedule of a scoop a week. It’s what the numbers are when I test and if it needs it or not. Hope that all helps.

A scoop of the nutrients every 2 weeks is what I meant. I don't want to give them either too much or too little. I'm a total newb/noob(?)at this as you can tell. I'll have to look at your videos about the PH testing units. According to the blue LCD display, it's due for another tiny scoop of the nutrients tomorrow and I should probably change the water first.

Yes the uHarvest is set to tell you when to add food. But … it depends really if the nutrient level fell at all. If it has low EC reading (using a meter) then you would add more. Also what are you growing? You also stated there are only two sprouts and the rest haven’t germinated yet? If that is the case they don’t even need nutrients yet. We were all new to this at some point. You will learn as you go. You got this :)
