Also something for new watchers, if you don't want to read manga, then use something called one pace. It cuts the episodes and arcs into 40 minute episodes which follows the manga pacing perfectly.

I started watching One Piece in January and I have no regrets. For me it's literally the best anime. Right now I am on episode 355 on the "Thriller Bark Arc" and I am having a blast. If there is a anime you should start on, it's definitely One Piece. I recommend it!

G-8 arc was so worth watching I was actually sad to realize that was filler unlike Ice hunter arc

I was literally about to start and decided to watch a vid like this first. the thing is the guy is still releasing new chapters, even when i reach the 1000th chapter (which will probably be in around 1 year) it will be way ahead. I hope I can reach the real time pace. Cool and useful video!

MANGA SPOILERS: Zoro is my favorite character and the newest chapter showing that Zoro has conqueror's makes me so happy and I want that animated so bad.

As one of those “it’s too long”ers, my friend got me into the series by telling me to at least get up through Baratie and Arlong Park. He was 100% right. I was ready to quit around the time Usopp and Captain Kuro came around, but making it through those two arcs hooked me for the long run.

For those checking this vid out today, I assure you it's 100% worth it, and it only just gets better and better. I love that characters aren't forgotten in One Piece in the same way as many other Shounen. It's something I really appreciate the series for, and I just love seeing the other characters aside from the main cast grow as well.

I absolutely loved the Dressrossa arc. It was my favorite arc in the new world saga but it was a very long arc for sure, however, that's the beauty of One Piece, you aren't supposed to watch the whole show in one sitting. Each arc I recommend taking a few weeks off to a month off break before you hop back in on it.

Just watch one piece on one pace which cuts out the filler, the openings, the recap , the endings and it also cuts down the fights to fix the pacing issues pretty much reduces one piece from 900 eps to 450 eps and it sticks to just the manga canon. Highly recommend, that's what i used when i rewatched one piece with my friend.

I watched OP back in the day in 2010 alongside bleach. Used to wait for bleach episode every Tuesday when I came back from school (including filler) and OP on Saturdays. Good times good times lol Also I agree with you, after Marineford, not only the artstyle/animation becomes bad (until 400 episodes later wano lol) but the pacing becomes soooo trash no joke lol

i literally just finished dressrosa amd im in 740 ep im so glad that i finished the arc im not saying that it was a bad arc but it was so slow that it felt like torture but plz ppl who havent watched one piece WATCH IT it is worth it and u will love it

The show is great in general. The story is full of enjoyment and the character development is fulfilling. It's not some characters who got full power from birth, but training to become the greatest of what they want to be.

Just started the series like a month ago (skipping filler) I’m in the water 7 ark and it’s been one of my favorites but to be honest each ark just keeps getting better and better

I just watched from the start. Took like 4 months and I took a break around whole cake and started a new anime but now finally caught up.

This is a great guide cause I actually thought the same thing. The early episodes of One Piece is really good and well paced but slowly when downhill. But for me the pacing already felt off during skypea, but during that era of time, the anime was quite inconsistent since water 7 is very well paced and so is impel down/marineford. But I do agree, Dressrossa was the all time low for the anime. With that said, I think Wano is pretty good though. The pacing is still a bit off, but the animation looks dope asf. Edit: 2023, Onigashima's pacing is quite abysmal. They pretty much adapted half aka around 0.5 of the chapters. Animation still dope though, but quite inconsistent in terms of quality .

"One piece is too long" I rather say "One piece is too short" since you just want more when your all caught up

I find it harder to get into smaller series because of how tension and plot elements/points are weighed out in short vs long series. Longer series are much preferred for me

I started one piece a few weeks back and got to episode 70. Im enjoying the anime but there are many anime I have seen recently that are a lot better. I only stick with it to catch up to the story and understand the references 😂 Though still a solid 8/10

Best way to watch One Piece is by using One Pace. Hands down. It cuts out the filler for you and even streamlines the viewing experience by removing a lot of the padding within the episodes. Nothing from the manga itself is skipped, so it's a faithful adaptation of Oda's original story.

Thank you - the honesty in your advice is what's helping me finish (along with One Pace). Every other "how to watch one piece" video is just trying to motivate you to slog through the pacing, but you admitting it gets bad and is almost like getting permission to enjoy the show how we want to.

I started one piece after the introduction of gear 5 in the anime and already am on ep 730. I don't think its that long, 1084 ep just sounds like its gonna take a lot of time but when you actually start watching it doesn't take that long even if you don't have much time to watch you will still catch up to it in about 1 to 2 years.

I dont wanna disrespect this man's video cause he trying to help out, but if you really wanna catch up do what I did, buy a sub for shonen on your phone or tablet or whatever way you can, read the manga from chapter 1 to the most recent episode simple as that. I managed to catch up in 3 weeks time of reading every day. The manga itself skips irelevant fillers, enjoy !

But I totally agree with you about the pacing in the later eps of one piece, it was ridiculous. They were taking like 5 eps just to show one fight scene, like what the hell.

Just watch all the episodes even if some of them are bad. After that, you're certainly not going to regret it because you've looked at everything you're just going to be proud of being in a group of people who've seen every single episode. 👍
