Ben Hogan was the master of the game and he explains in his book how to start your downswing. As a follow on to my previous two videos this one takes Hogan's golf swing further from the top through impact. You will instantly learn how to start your downswing and how to add power to your golf swing.
EUREKA GOLF SWING
For more of Steve's tuition on a personal basis visit
www.eurekagolf...
For a golf swing that is CONSISTENT, provides a flat left wrist, compression, lag and more. Steve's EUREKA GOLF SWING is now being implemented in 52 countries taking the golfers game to a place that allows the body to turn, the flight to straighten and compression to become a reality.
The starting place is the "iron swing series" offering the set of the Eureka Golf Swing canes and a step by step tutorial of the full action.
REMEMBER: as Steve says, "There is a difference between opening your stance and aiming left".

This is possibly the most important golf swing video I’ve watched (and I’ve watched a lot). I really feel you are putting the pieces together with this Eureka/Hogan/Trevino combination. Very exciting. You are an excellent teacher - succinct explanations of a highly complex process.

Thanks Steve! This got applied to my midday practice session, it resulted in very consistent shots. It made me realise I was trying to turn my shoulders too much, as soon as the lead arm breaks down I was turning too far. That knees action really helps. Thankyou.

When I first started playing golf years ago I had a baseball swing and was spraying shots everywhere. After a lesson and by chance the pro showed me the right elbow tight to my side and a low and slow take away. At first it felt awkward but the results were fantastic. I suddenly was striking the ball much better with better aim. You're onto something with the Hogan swing. Stay with the series it's important to a lot of golfers out there.

Your expertise as a PGA professional and bringing to life visually what Hogan was textually attempting to explain is leaps-and-bounds above anything else. Please consider doing this video for each of his book's chapters so that we life-long Five Fundamentals enthusiasts can ascertain where we've erroneously misunderstood/misapplied Hogan's teachings. You're tops... thank you!

Steve, The Hogan series is excellent easy to listen to and understand. I understand that Hogan had to change his swing at some time because he was hitting way to many hooks in particular with his driver. Using the eureka method would this also become an issue.

Wow! This video and others in this line have been extremely helpful. I'm new to golf (only played 3 rounds this summer) I've taken a couple of lessons to get me headed the right direction. My driver was carrying about 220 with a consistent slice, was hitting hybrids shorter than my irons. Then this video.... I'm hitting dead strait and carrying 285 to 300. Swing speed increased from 85 to 105 and ball speed is up to 140 and I'm hitting with confidence. Greatly appreciate the video, wish I could shake your hand, truly changed my swing and outlook on the game.

the elbows tucked in has made adifferance to my swing, I now find my low point all the time where as before I was sometimes making air shots. I am 75 yrs of age only had 2 games since I retired 10 yrs ago but taking it back up again now. I used to be an 8 handicaper but without playing i havr lost my swing, but watching your videos and doing practice swings without a ball ( cant hit a ball in the house) but when we go to the range I can feel it coming back. But I will have to practice to stop rolling my hands when chipping yuck. cheers Steve

hogan started his downswing with the left side of his head. it was this that gave his hands a free ride down. it, also, made space to create lag. i certainly do agree with the idea of external rotation of the left knee, though. but, it is built into swing, by activating the muscle in the right side of the left calf at address. it doesn't have to be from an open position.

The key is to actually get the lower body/hips to turn first. I'm somewhat challenged in the lower body mobility area, but when I get even close to it, it works like a charm. A well struck 7 iron now goes 160 yards in the air (today anyway), up nearly 20 yards of carry. Thanks for that! Now all I have to do is train my body to do it. Next, tell me about throwing the hands at the ball after the start of the turn towards the target.....

I never really felt good connection with my hip, and I also felt like sometimes when I threw it it pulled my knee too far. So I slid over and followed Mike austin, who focuses more on the trunk turning, the power coming from the core. It works for me. When everything is connected and flowing properly, the hands just come flying through.
