@Private Notitia great idea man thanks. Great luck with school. When I first became a MT I was pretty stacked and lifting wasn’t a problem but I put a rib out while wrestling and fell off my workout routine, but kept massaging. So when I started lifting again was when it became problematic. I’m sure I can make it work. My point is tho, keep it going! Strength will make you a highly sought after MT. Make to keep a thorough stretch routine
@Private Notitia You workout everyday? Working out everyday isn't recommended by gym instructors or fitness trainers. You have to rest the muscles to allow it to grow. Exercise every other day or 3 to 4 days a week to avoid exhaustion.
Receive the massage from other Massage Therapist every week or every two weeks is the best way to help your body stays healthy and weekly balance routine.

As a female massage therapist of 15 years I don't recommend it start small go to clients Holmes always let someone know exactly where you are and what time you will start and finish the session in case they don't hear back from you they know how to find you it's a very rewarding career but as a woman you got to really keep your guard up .

I'm a massage therapist in Mexico. I work at home. I have a very nice space set up. Problem is that therapeutic massage is not a thing here. Mexico is in general, a very conservative country. They don't like getting naked for massage or having a stranger touch them, even for clothed massage. I've also been trying to do corporate massage but getting no results. For stress relief most people prefer going for drinks or for pain relief, taking meds or seeing the doctor. Another thing is that most see massage as something sexual. I've been doing this for a year and a half. I have my frequent clients, but still not enough to make a living out of it. I do other part time jobs. What advice can you give me?? Lately I've been feeling like a failure. 😥
Hi body bliss.. I think if you are struggling with in home massage to find a small studio to rent on the side or even that is shared with another therapist and market yourself as medical/therapeutic.. that way your mission is clear and you would be taken seriously. Also with marketing use things like you said .. ie stop covering up the symptoms and treat the cause of your body pain and discomfort. Go to community events such as craft shows or fair and market yourself that way. Patients feel more comfortable if they meet you first and get an idea of your goals vs coming to your house for a massage. As for the sexual end - that is unfortunately a stigma attached to the profession. You have to prove that what you are doing is for health related purposes and anything else isn’t tolerated. Can you suggest an online booking service that you can have add ons for massages? I'm currently regretting my choice as the duration time for add on services are 10 minutes or longer. I need duration times at 0 for something such as aromatherapy. It doesn't take me 10 minutes for this lol. I'm thinking to switch my program if possible.

Hi there! I really want to become a massage therapist, the idea of being able to help people is attractive to me however I do have doubts if this is the right career for me because I have hyperhydrosis which makes me sweat excessively especially my hands. Do you happen to know any practioner who has the same condition and is still successful with their practice? I am afraid it will limit me as a massage therapist your thoughts will be high invaluable. This was five years ago. Do you have any other updated videos? I’m gonna check anything anybody else could add how much rent do you pay per month? Have you tried different places for lower rents or different places of locations with fitness and health connected like a yoga or health center or renting out of a chiropractor etc.
