We are very lucky, John. And then you look at Canada where something like 70% of the entire country is legally open to dirt riding... incredible.

I prefer my specially developed technique. "The static crash"
@crosstrainingenduro
@crosstrainingenduro 6 лет назад
almost all our crashes are like that nowadays lol, you'll see them in our 2018 crashes vid soon. way safer than fast crashes....

We might get down into the USA one day via Canada. We did pop across the border briefly two years back and they were just about snapping on the rubber gloves though... probably have to wait for policies to ease up on border crossings!

likewise, arno! unfortunately it's taking longer to learn new stuff nowadays, and also the jiggered knee over the past year has slowed things down too....

I like the idea of Ben explaining as he does the skill. Is he wearing a mic or was it edited? It was clear and well done. This skill was required going up the mountain to the old mine in Terrace. I can say it was done by accident and I am not sure if I could recreate it ever again. :)
@crosstrainingenduro

just used the handheld camera but had to edit the sound channels a lot to clear it up. turned out okay in the end!

For this move, having a foot forward - similar to a seated turn - seems to be helping. If one leg is left dangling behind it's harder to get over the obstacle.
@crosstrainingenduro
@crosstrainingenduro 6 лет назад
agreed julien. i think ben had trouble finding a good foot spot for that ledge and at other times i've seen him with his leg forward.

Very informative video. :) If I am not good enough to make an obstacle I let my imaginary friend ride the bike for me. My technique is called the ''dynamic bike projection'' or, more simply, ghost riding. If you can't make it yourself, just send the bike and let it do the hard work. At least, if it doesn't work, I have someone or something to put the blame on... :)
@crosstrainingenduro

Dam intense maneuver! How to prevent a cartwheel then what to do with said flipping bike?
@crosstrainingenduro
@crosstrainingenduro 6 лет назад
see our other training vid on splats, randy. done properly, the flip is always prevented by the rear wheel hitting the obstacle (fingers crossed lol).
