Join Alloy with Orthopedic Sports Surgeon Dr. Vonda Wright to talk about bones, joints, muscles, and how to stay strong during menopause.
At 40, double-boarded orthopedic sports surgeon Dr. Vonda Wright was in the best shape of her life. At 48, she thought perimenopause might be killing her. Thankfully, she has learned how to master midlife and menopause and now spends her time educating the 51% of the world born with ovaries (and the people that love them) on how to make the rest of our lives the best of our lives at the intersection of aging and midlife, menopause and mobility.
Dr. Wright has served as the inaugural medical director and chief of service in several large health systems and is an internationally recognized authority on active aging and mobility, caring for active people, athletes, and executive performers of all ages and skill levels.
In addition to her surgical practice, Dr. Wright is the founder of Ajles. Life, a membership community, and Women’s Health Conversations, a nonprofit. She’s written five books and is a media content expert who regularly appears on national TV shows and in print and digital media outlets. She also hosts her own podcast called HOT for Your HEALTH.

I just started estrogen/progesterone 60 days ago, what an amazing difference. I am 67 a healthy although overweight woman who is very active and spends my summers cycling around North America doing an average of 60 miles per day carrying all my camping gear on my bike. Even with all my activity I still was losing bone density at an alarming rate. My doctor said yah, thats the way old age works. It made me pretty mad so I decided to investigate hormone health on my own and found Alloy...best decision ever! I sleep all night again, I feel stronger and have been lifting weights and running again along with my cycling. I have energy and no brain fog anymore. Not much weight loss yet but I am doing plant based diet, no packaged foods hoping that helps.

I'm 63 and lift weights but need to do heavier. Been active all my life, does MENopause ever end? This is great information. When you speak of before or during menopause no one speaks to us ladies over 60 and beyond and still fighting the symbols. Apparently, after a year of no periods we are over it but that isn't true.

At the 31 time stamp. Rebounding and bouncing are good to get lymph moving. Good thing since it doesn’t have a pump we have to move to get it to move. Dr perry is the lymphatic doc on RU-vid

Hi! According to the Menopause Society, the ideal time to start is within 10 years of your last period, but there is no arbitrary age cut-off. We'd recommend speaking with a menopause-trained doctor about this. We can help at Alloy! Go to myalloy.com to get started taking our quick medical intake and sign up for a consultation with one of the menopause-trained doctors on the Alloy platform!

I thought just the opposite. It seemed to me the interviewer kept asking the exact questions I was thinking. I appreciate that she let Dr. Wright be the focus. So often the interviewer interjects their personal stories or opinions.
